Suggestions and requests.

Hey Look I have a suggestion and request a time. Turns out I love the shellmap the version 1.5, is epic.
And I suppose that as the project progresses it will change.
The point is that some people like this shellmap, others like to see the GLA causing chaos or E. C. A. Russia fiercely fighting and maybe U.S.A. Fending off the hordes of Chinese on their own soil.
The point is why not leave shellmap and make only a small patch changing the shellmap, because some did not like russia to other GLA or other U.S. and so each person would choose how you want to start the game.

We have some other plans for the shell map, but at the moment working on the shell map is not a priority and even when we get to that it will depend on how much time I'll have to work on it because last time it took me almost one month to finish it.

Besides, what you're asking can be put together by a fan anyway. Just by taking the shellmap from 1.5 and swapping it out for any later ones that may be in future releases.

HI I would like ROTR will similar to Boss Generals mod:
There are not any generals, and it's only possible to chose 5 sides like GLA, USA, RF, ECA and PRC
but in the game player could chose any "corporate" strategy ( any general) for his faction and could use units of some generals
instead of some general's ability like carpet bombing and so...

The Game would be more unpredictable and multivariate!
And strategy of development will add some interesting moments in a game (remember Diablo 8Ip.png )

The idea would be realized. They just thought it out quicker than you.

Hello, comrades.
Before I start, I must ask one question: how do you think battles are won? If you answered "It just take a lot of men", then I may suggest you to leave the academy. Why will I say that? It is because battles are not won just by simply shooting down your enemies: it also takes emotions to fight a battle. Hope, courage, pride, honor, love: these are the main emotions that it takes to win a battle. Yes, your equipment, your skills, and your genetics are very important, but it all boils down to one thing: Do you have the WILL to fight?
Class is dismissed.
WARNING: Watching this may result in losing your manliness.

Yep: I'm a rusty sword. VERY rusty. :/

QFT; I dug up and reinstalled my ZH after almost 2 years of it collecting dust just to play this mod.

Also first post and very good job team! I realise your priority atm is SHW 1.0, but am solely looking forward to the progression of ROTR.

They look like that because unlike many other mods out there, we're going for ORIGINALITY, as in original designs with unique visual features instead of actual military hardware that shows up in every other mod. The Jagdmammut is a designated tank destroyer, so we went with a design that actually LOOKS like a tank destroyer, not just a standard rotating turret design. Same thing with the Goshawk. It's a pure ground attack plane - much like the American A-10 - which is a lot more interesting than just using a boring multi-role fighter plane with an anti-ground loadout.

Originality > realism

I know only 1 mod with real military hardware )) Cold War Crisis
(and Middle East Crisis sure)
and in all other mods we can see only dreamed up hardware

I do not think that is a good idea that one faction is very different.
Moreover I think the Originality must be NOT IN 3d-models but in THE GAMEPLAY, IN AN UNIT ABILITY AND IN MULTI-VARIANT APPROACH
)))
And military hardware like Archer and Puma are very original

Don't forget about funs)) Europeans would play in mod much more willingly with them native units))
I tell you as a russian we all play for our muther rusian )))
you can draw fans from German, Sweden, France and UK. I wouldn't play for Russian Federation with dreamed up hardware like Goshawk and Jagdmammut at all and all my friends
sorry but ti's so ))

Do not make mistake with dreamed up hardware try to achieve originality with native units wink.gif

I'm good at 3d-max and can help with 3d-models and textures for future units bro

Well, it does have its gameplay implications, too. For example, if we replaced the Jagdmammut with the Challenger/Leclerc, we'd end up with another vehicle that looks like a regular MBT, and yet, for some reason, the game says that its more suited to take on tanks than the actual MBT of the faction. This may confuse people and we want our faction designs to be not just original but also comprehensible, i.e. without redundant units with no clear purpose. With the Jagdmammut, you can tell by a single look that this IS a tank destroyer. A front-heavy vehicle with two massive cannons that annihilate other tanks. Sure, Leclerc tanks would be fanservice for our French folks, but if you look at it next to the Leopard MBT, you'd just see another similar looking tank and wonder what exactly makes it different from that other tank. Plus, this mod is also a semi-futuristic science fiction scenario. Restricting ourselves only to RL military units makes it boring AND would not fit with the rest of the game. After all, we don't want to change the core look & feel of the game. That's also the reason Paladin tanks will NOT be turned into M1s or something similar. All the ingame factions have weapons and vehicles that are at least partly BASED on real life quipment. Having ONLY real weapons for Europe would make them stand out like a sore thumb.

QFT
Rise of the Reds is, in my opinion, the best mod to act as a sequel/expansion for Zero Hour because it keeps with the Generals theme of both unit style and gameplay.

Ill definately say it keeps the generals theme , but in a player game the gameplay is a bit broken ^^

Alright, I agree with u )) Challenger Leclerc and Leopard are very similar to each other
But we could find something more heavy like MBT Revolution

there are interesting perspective hardware here and here

ok but it doesn't mean all european models should be funny and cartoon ))
I prefer perspective real military hardware from NEAR FUTURE. It look more attractive and solid

I'll do models with pleasure for u and project. As I know scripts will be the same
