As Rise of the Reds continues to plow through it's development and reaches it's goal to 2.0 we wish to give the fans the most out of their gameplay experiences. So we've developed a little something extra in correlation with the closing ROTR 1.5 Release. We'd like to announce the first ROTR Developer Video feed. What is it you ask? It's quite simple really, you ask us any question you have regarding ROTR here on this same thread and we may just answer it in-game with me and The_Hunter talking about it. Now let's make this clear, it's not just limited to 1.5 but anything regarding Rise of the Reds so make your question clear and one that can get the most out of us (me, saying that you can fish for information? This is madness!). No edits, no bull, just clear straightforward answers. Or at least to the extent that we can say, just not to spoil the surprises we have ahead for you all. So go ahead and post away, as the deadline for questions is in 3 days! So get posting! K. Since this is the last day of this topic, i will improve my last suggestion with a scenario and the things that should be seen from this scenario :
on a coastline map of 2 players ( sea side mutiny for example ) a powerfull ECA defese line formed of this ; bunkers, artillery emplacements and goalkeepers is assaulted by a strong russian assault force. Wave after wave of russian forces will assault this line. The ECA defenses are supported by jadgmammoths and claymore artilleries, while the air is controled by goshawk planes and Tiger gunships. In this part of the scenario, this would be the things to see : - Artillery positions range and damage against armored collumns as well as infantry groups. - Panzerfaust infantry inside bunkers to see how well they do against armored units. - goalkeepers - how well they can take out incoming missiles ( russian forces should have some Burratino in their army as well as a few hinds and werewolfs ) as well as incoming planes ( i would like to see how it can take out froogfots as they are the heavy bomber as well as a few pak-fa ). - Jadgmammoths - how well they can handle sentinels and kodiacs and if their range is good enough to be a threat for sentinels. - Claymores - how much damage they can do and what is their std range ( as at this point i have the impresion that this artilery has the longest range ), as well as how big they are and especialy how mobile they are. - Goshawks - how powerfull these really odd planes are, and especialy how good and usefull that secondary abillity is , and ofc ... how it actually works. - Tigers - first of all to see the new model, as well as what kind of weapons it has ( to see what makes it different from the russian/american gunships ). At the end of the movie, the russians would overwhelm the ECA base and would finaly crack those defenses, and in a final act of disperation, ECA high command launches the solar flare SW - and as the russian forces would celebrate the victory , the solar flare would strike taking out their entire forces. Things to see : - a few ECA structures with their new skins. - the new and improved solar flare fx as well as it's damage. Well this is it. Hope this get's the vote . Anubis out. Edit : Trow in some manticores 2 or 3 of them as base defenders for ECA. This is another unit i can't wait to see ( my hopes is that it has a complete remodel from the old one ... ).
