Q:What is this?
A: Its a forum based roleplay that has the ingame factions of ROTR(Even more if we have the members)

Q:What the hell is roleplaying?
A:Its a series of reading and writing posts and reinacting the ROTR universe that you wish to create, requiring more then a five second attention span and pleasure from reading writing.Oh and you need Imagination as well

Q:Sounds cool but I never did it before
A:Thats okay our community is fresh and growing, having the members from both veteran roleplayers and SWR testers

Q:I want to join X faction and rule the world
A:If you win on the battlefield and on politics I see no reason why not

Q:Can we have subfactions?
A:Sure! We already have the Balkan federation kicking thanks to a member who joined from this forum, and we used to have the Canadian Expedentiary force as well.As long as its accepted as cannon/Its balenced theres no reason why not...

Q:I like to play as X faction but my country is owned by another faction....
A:There are many ways this can be handled, we had a new member in our forums that retook her native land.Yes its a she,keep your belt on boys....

Q:Can I join?
A:Sure we actually need more people....some factions lack a general rooster of members and we need new blood!

Q:Are we going to follow the lore?
A:Nope not at all...we start from the prewar point of 2045 and the only thing the lore requires is the Russian european war.

Q:How cannon are we going to make this?
A:There are some invisable borders that we'll tell you but In theory you can have any sort of holy or unholy alliance if given the right reasons

Q:How are battles decided?
A:Base building and combat changed, but if you outdid or outnumber your foe your likely to win the engagement....Thou you cant Roleplay in the shoes of your foe, If there is a disagreement of the outcome, our talented admins can be the deciding factor.

Q:Wait what faction? I thought there was only five?!
A:If we have enough to fill the cannon factions ranks we plan to add the S.A.P. the south american pact, entirely based on Crushers own lore behind it.It got accepted as cannon last I checked.

Q:Why should I do this?
A:Its fun and satisfying in an odd way....cant really decribe it without trying,so please give it a shot...If it doesnt work out then there are no penaltys or yearly plans or a fee to join...Its just a fun little hobby we all have...
plus we might have enough content by the end of 2.0 to give Mars a heart attack xD

I would totally be up for that! I saw a RP thread like YEARS back and I always thought it was cool. It was where I got the "RUSSIAN OFFICER" tag on my signature

So, this is the current plan that I have in mind regarding the RP.

I will make a new forum.

There, I will make Five Usergroups : Russia, ECA, China, GLA and USA.

Make Five sub-forums for each sub-faction and make them group accessible (Chinese members see Chinese Sub-Forum, USA Members see USA sub-forum).

And then make a biography section and a battleground section. Thoughts ?

Apparently, too many factions wouldn't be a good idea, so basing the RP on the main five factions would be best. More factions would be added if members are gonna go for it.

There are many inconsistencies with with...
- The South American Pact is a fully sovereign entity. It is -not- being fought over by the US and the GLA of all people.
- The brunt of the GLA is effectively contained in the Central African Zone. The rest of the continent is under the control of countries that are either allied with or in a client role with the US, the ECA or China to some extent.
- India is the core power of the Bangalore Pact which is a distinct bloc in Asia that is free from Chinese control and not allied with them either.
- China's domain, the GAPA, is confined to continental Asia. It does not include the likes of Indonesia, the Philippines, or Australia and New Zealand of all places.
- Russia has, at no point in the current story, conquered Turkey, Iran, Korea or bloody Japan.

I reckon that one time we had a ROTR roleplay on the old forum worked best when there wasn't really a 'game' element like a map or rules to it, but rather, people acting as their own characters within the setting/story, in some way engaged in the Russo-European War.

Yep. It was the best one. Everything after didnt reached to the heights of the first.

There's no doubt your map is more accurate than the previous one, but there are a few things:

There's no Yougoslavia. Also, accourding to the current cannon story, Serbia doesn't have the territories of Croatia and Slovenia, while Albania is divided between Greece and Serbia.
The Novorossya region ( the entire sea shore of Ukraine and east ) is a part of Russia. The rest of Ukraine isn't in ECA.

Well I tried to make a risk-style map, so I combined many little countries to form one region. And from what I remember, part of Ukraine was allied with the ECA, excluding the Novorossiya region which I forgot to make part of Russia

Also, I was unaware that Madagascar was under Russian Influence

The map looks good, just one small change with GLA, to give them that country of ECA in the central Africa. There is I think Ibrahiim's speculated base of operations. Not sure what country it is. And the Russia to be turned into maroon red than purple.

You ca still make the maps as the game proceeds. The old one was great because there were no restricting rules, more open for you, but still there were some , but they were required, like that ECA should be pushing the Russians too far away. It was more like a literal role play than a turn-based game. But to work, there is needed someone to guide and observe the game, a moderator or "Dungeon Master", DM

Ugh, what is this map based on? Like, Russian Baltics, Russian Greece/Romania/Balkans in general, European Ukraine.
