This is not a bug from the mod, report them in the Support Forum and check for solutions there.

Looks like a TYPE 3 Crash, try compatibility mode.

The 96.0K generals.exe is just a loader that load game.dat. No complain from GenTool 7.3.

A good No-CD executable should be standalone, about 6.5MB in size that came from TFD 1.03 patch and GenTool will complain, but it works fine.

Have you tried:
1. compatibility mode with generals.exe
2. compatibility mode with ROTR185_Lnchr.exe

Different solutions if you need the followings:
1. Launcher + SWR.net
2. GenTool
3. Run Zero Hour and other mods

Wait, if you got the Origin version, you need a special generals.exe and disable Origin in-game.

Otherwise, proceed:

1. Read ROTR185_Lnchr.dat with Notepad.

2. Rename files by following the " > "

3. Run your generals.exe once its done.

e.g.

rename !!Rotr_Patch.gib to !!Rotr_Patch.big

all > of them

The launcher just rename this for you every time you play ROTR.

I hope you patched the game Gen1.08/ZH1.04.

If you didn't, restore the original generals.exe and game.dat can let you patch it again. Otherwise, you'll always run into errors.

It is a good idea to test run Zero Hour and confirm files are up-to-date before attempting mods.

Here's an important note about the game and tips for installing.
