Aut vincere aut mori, Cave quid dicis, quando, et cui, De duobus malis, minus est semper eligendum.

if that flank hadnt of went, the match was at a point it definitely would of went on for at liest another 40 mins or untill the engine just died, we were all at the cash point we could replace what we had lost almost imidietly.

So basically you have to build a stream of units to avoid crashing the game by giving a super-blob an attack-move order?

Who and what actually won that game?

No, it's not about that at all.
it's about not letting your opponent to take a breath. Super large blobs are also very susceptible to all those R5 GPs, Pandora, etc.

Game itself was running stable and without much slowdown at all, as everybody involved had decent CPU's.

Hanfield couldn't get R5 for a long time, only by the time I started assaulting that flank he got it and picked Airborne Breakthrough. So things would probably escalate alot from that point on either way.

Was there any enjoyment left at that point or did you all have the same facial expression as Zeke's signature?

Ah yes, the sweet joy of a single GP wiping out tens of thousands of Dollars in units. The AI also does that. Or rather what I think it does is aim the GP at the place with the highest concentration of value (e.g. a blob of units clustered around a War Factory waypoint).

Did you ever just place WF waypoints behind enemy lines and keep giving new build orders to the WF? I mean, if you got apathetic over time.

I kind of thought the network would be the thing to break. IIRC correctly Generals is one of many games with bad networking code. but hey, what do I know about online play tongue.gif

A video of that match with people commenting on their strategy would have been awesome.

Streaming units one by one into the grinder isn't the way you go about winning :V

You could move the rally points back and forth along the defense line to find weak points. laugh.gif
