A few months back, I've been experimenting with Blender and how to make 3d models.
So far, I've been making mostly gun models. However, I did create a model of a person. I can't create complex, highly detailed stuff like something you would see in a FPS, however they might be acceptable in an RTS game. m60_model.png ( 23.17K ) Number of downloads: 18 gm94.png ( 28.33K ) Number of downloads: 12 aa12.png ( 68.69K ) Number of downloads: 8 calico.png ( 26.58K ) Number of downloads: 11 person1.png ( 15.75K ) Number of downloads: 24 Comments and criticism are appreciated. Its a goodstart! Nice! Try using Reference images and blueprints so you can easily trace what youre modelling.

I like the guns too.. The figure kinda looks like a Slender's relative lol... You can even make askin for those guns from direct photos.

Thanks for the input guys. Appreciate it.
The "figure" is more or less a basic model that I plan to work on for human and other humanoid creatures. It could double as a boss for a horror game already, just need to give it some textures. I kind of feel like trying out models for vehicles as well. Currently trying to make a M1A1. Hopefully it works out. |

also, take a rest every hour if you must. Pushing yourself would lead to a bad model

Tried making a tank based off the M1.
abrams1.png ( 20.85K ) Number of downloads: 9 abrams2.png ( 10.61K ) Number of downloads: 5 That small turret is supposed to be for the M2. For some reason, the tank tracks appear to be off. Should I try making it 1 solid shape instead of multiple smaller ones if I want to put it into a game?

Nice. What program are you using? instead of taking screenshots, its better to render them!

Sorry for the late response. I've been busy with so much stuff recently.
To answer your question: I use Blender for my models. I'm not sure what exactly you mean by render. I'm still somewhat new to the modeling scene, lol. In the meantime, have this B2 that I'm working on. b2_bomber.png ( 49.16K ) Number of downloads: 19 b2_bomber2.png ( 50.7K ) Number of downloads: 12 EDIT: I decided to use my ModDB profile to upload some of my work as well. http://www.moddb.com/members/the-dementor This post has been edited by Dementor: 29 Jun 2015, 0:46 |
