Hello all, I've made this account to seek help from the community. Simply put, I have tried to get C&C G: ZH and ROTR to run on my machine, but it has been a complete failure. I am not sure entirely why, but I will give details on what I am using tech related.
OS: 8.1 GCard: AMD 7700 HD Game version: TFD, I own the disc, it's updated to 1.04, I've created the options.ini file and used it, etc, etc. I always get the "Technical Difficulties" error when I try to run ZH or ROTR, while default Generals just asks for a cd to be inserted, ironically and annoyingly so. I have tried every damned thing I have found on the internet, including what these forums have shown me in the past, and nothing has worked. I have this old error report message I can add, perhaps that can shed some light on my problem. I uninstalled the game cleanly afterwards, but I haven't given up yet. Yet, that is. Crash Report Anyone's assistance would be appreciated. I am worried however that Windows 8.1 is just giving me the middle finger and I can't do anything about that. Cheers, lads. |

The link to your report appears to be broken.
You did mention that you've read the guides here, so you've probably read mine already, however I just finished updating it so try checking it again: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cqTHHvD...dit?usp=sharing Especially check out the bit about the windows KB3086255 update -------------------- |

I appreciate the effort you put in, but i found no solutions to my problem. But I'll look into this KB update you spoke of. Regarding my link....strange, it works fine for me. It downloads the .txt file when I click on it. Here, I'll post the info right here, then.
