SWR Productions Forum _ Rise of the Reds _ EndWar influence on RotR and the T-100 Ogre

I've started playing Tom Clancy's EndWar recently and I couldn't help but notice certain similarities with RotR. So, could we say that RotR was influenced by EndWar as much as it was by, lets say, Red Alert series?

And a question for M.P. (if he is still active). Bro, I remember that you had this Ogre addon which looked insanely cool. So, do you plan on releasing it as an add-on any time soon?

As far as I remember, the only thing from Endwar that has come to RotR is the Ogre tank, which is inspired from the T100.

Also, the concepts of Russia and Europe seem to have certain similarities with RotRverse. Plus, Hellion seems to be inspired by Russia's main attack helicopter from EndWar.

Which is inspired by (or, basically - copied from) RL Ka-50.

European helicopters in both games have rotating rocket pods in place of guns.

I'll release that addon along with the other stuff I added to it once 1.87/1.9/whatever-the-next-version-is is fully released, so I won't have to port to a new build every time. So... hopefully it's never gonna be released.

Yeah, I remember the time when it was in-game. I really like it. Playing EndWar actually made me play RotR again after a long break. I like how EndWar simplified things with it's rock, paper, scissors approach, but RotR is way more dynamic.

I'm not saying I don't want to release it. I'm just waiting for the final release of the next version, but at this point I don't think they're ever gonna release it.
