Rebuilt my comp, reinstalled Windows to get Win11 on new rig. Probably my mistake. LOL
All my old games are one a separate SSD. Got EA Play to get Generals back online. Forgot I had the game already, so fresh install, plus GenTool and Shockwave. So... two copies of Zero Hour and Shockwave.
Neither is launching properly... neither the one that did work before or the fresh one.
Each time, the Shockwave launcher works. Hitting play brings up EA Play... then states it needs permissions. Hitting okay on that just brings up the original Generals launcher that allows you to play Vanilla or Zero Hour.
Tried moving the install folders, no luck... EA Play still finds it.
Debating on loading Origin back on the new rig, but... ugh, 2 EA apps again.
Anyone had luck with a similar issue? Thanks in advance.

Yeah. The issue appears to be that since origin became EA app on windows the game can't run. I've been trying to look for a workaround for either installing origin separately or running shockwave some other way. However, I've had no luck finding an origin download let alone one that works when the region is set to the United States. looks like the developers would need to make another release that works through the EA app.

You need to replace the games EXE for it to work on the EA app there's a download for it on the gentools website.
the mod will run fine after that.
