like the topic and description says, are there going to be any other forum skins besides SWR simple?
It has already been said when the forum was new, there may eventually be themed skins for the mods, or at least a better one.
oh, i wasnt around when the forum was very new so i didnt know, thanks for talling me
and only ten posts til 1200 picky
Would you want a new forum skin or ROTR 2.0 ?
Just kidding, it's something we still have in the back burner but it's definitely something I want to do to make this place better looking than what we have. We already have art assets for the buttons and such it's just we haven't come around to editing and creating a new skin yet.
Of course I'd need to know a bit more about the setup, but if you ever need an extra hand, I am pretty good at coding/skinning.
A black theme would be good IMO, something that would suit to SWR (and the website)'s look. IIC the current forum skin is probably the IPB's default, i.e., the Simple. The icon of the forum (i.e. the one you see on the browser's tabs) could do some change too.
PS: I was already anticipating this thread for months...
Oh yea if we were to make a skin for the forum it would likely replicate the website. =o
Just looked at the CSS for both the forum and the website and it looks like a fairly simple conversion.
I've done it before with one of my websites..
http://1244squadron.org.uk/V2/Home.html
http://s9.zetaboards.com/1244_Squadron/index/
Of course both sites are now closed, because I am no longer at 1244 Squadron
it will be great if you make Shockwave and ROTR themed skins. maybe like these:
- black with orange lines/squares (Shockwave)
- red/dark gray (Russian ROTR)
- blue/soft yellow (ECA ROTR)
I don't care what it is as long as it's NOT white
Indeed.
a shockwave skin would own ass
a a russian rotr skin would be pretty awesome as-well
yeah i cant get on hamachi lately, this week is my exam week an i have no time for it :/
Alright guys enough derailing.
We'll get to the forum skins soon enough. For the time benig consider this at least on the backburner on our things to do.
