Recently I have been having trouble running the ROTR beta, although it also effects the Shockwave beta as well, but not regular zero hour. Whenever I try to run it, a command box pops up and then I get a message saying "Failed to copy the file C:\Program files (x86)\EA Games\command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Install_Final.bmp to C:\Program files (x86)\EA Games\command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Install_Final_temp.bmp" (error 5: access is denied) I would like to say that had been running ROTR by clicking on the .bat files, because I had not heard about the way to create the shortcuts to the program files, and that ROTR does not create its own folder in the program files. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit) service pack 2 on an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU and 8 GB of RAM.

You need to make sure the BAT files are running with Admin permissions, so turn UAC off if need be.

If that fails, reinstall generals to somewhere outside program files.
Most people would suggest making the folder "C:\Games" and installing it to there. -------------------- |

Installing it in a new folder helped. Thanks for the help.
