Description? What description?

Hey guys. You know, I don't speak a lot here (mainly because I'm not one to actually care), but I will ask questions and project ideas that I think would be cool for the RotR community. Now, while I haven't played the game myself, I'm starting to become enamored with the game Hearts of Iron 4: an early 20th century-based strategic diplomacy/wargame that allows you to essentially change the face of history. Bring the USSR as the dominant force in all of Europe, bring Hitler's dreams of grandeur and worldwide Germanic rule to fruition, or have the United States bring itself in earlier and kick ass (more so than any of the other Allied Forces). You can play as one of the major players of the period, or any of the smaller, less-known countries of the time.

Now, I may not have been the only one to see the opportunity here, and while Generals is a fantastic game for the tactical scenario, what if we were to take the concept of RotR and bring it into the game of Hearts of Iron 4? Let's think on it for a second: we could essentially fight the entire Russo-European War, the Global War on Terror, and other similar events, and those are only a few of the possibilities. Forge alliances (or attempt to) with Terra Nullius out in Central Africa (the GLA), have Europe and Russia team up to take down China, all sorts of crazy possibilities. Not to mention that this also provides the opportunities to actually see how generals command formations, and see how certain aspects of the lore could easily affect aspects of the game. biggrin.gif

Now, once again, I do understand that the mod is for Generals, but this is just a penny for your thoughts. Hope I gave you [the SWR team and the community itself] something to think on. ^^

I actually like that idea. But still, 2 questions:

1.Does the game support rotr game mechanics(the gla salvage mechanic, for example)
2. Who's gonna do it?

Hearts of Iron IV? Not to be rash, but HoI4 wouldnt be recommended as to put a RotR mod. The best Grand Strategy game for it, and also popular, is Darkest Hour. Of the modern era games, Darkest Hour is the most recommended.
