Hey everyone, I've been meaning to get something like this going for a while now, been playing a lot of horror games lately and well been meaning to share these experiences with many of my friends and family - and now I turn to you guys to see if you would be interested in seeing them. It'd be my first time making any sort of these videos so the first few will be quite frankly, ,quite bad in terms of sound qualiity - my sound driver is kinda shite so the ingame stuff would sound a bit low volume - but you'd still be able to make out most of it. I'll still be tweaking and finding out how to do it properly until I endup completely overhauling my PC - which should be relatively soon. So would anyone be interested in seeing these? I currently have these in the roster of To Play: FEAR FEAR2 - I legitimately haven't played through these yet, hence why I'm starting these. Amnesia: Dark Descent - While I've already played through I wouldn't mind doing it again as it's been a few months already. Black Mesa: On HARD-MODE. Prepare to hear me rage and do crazy shit to get through the trenches filled with Scientists, Headcrabs, aliens and Soldiers alike. Was a ton of fun and at the end I plan on making the entire run through the game in "perfect" mode (as in the edited version where everything plays out as it should - beginning to end.) Quake 4 - Haven't played through all of it and don't remember shit. Lets go through it again! Doom 3 - Still haven't run through all of it, saw bits and pieces at a friends for years but never ran my own file. Borderlands 2 - Just received my copy today. Lets do this shit. Skyrim - Already attained it, started a little file so it'd be at a certain point in the game where it goes. To the wilds we go. Open for suggestions and a whole lot more in the future. If this picks up this little page will be better presented. Won't be arsed if no one is interested but probably would record the first few anyway for friends on my end. So how bout it -------------------- SWR Co-Lead | Texture Artist | Modeler | Level Designer | Fan of all things Awesome |

Im not sure if its really worth it to make videos of games you have already played.
I would advise Dead Space and Dead Space 2. Solid horror games that you seem to have missed. Another good one is Prey. Nice story and good cinematic action. -------------------- |

...also skyrim would be nice I'd advise against Skyrim for now since there are so many skyrim videos out there already. And it's mostly about the mods, that game. As much as I like Skyrim, it really just comes down to the mods. How about... Let's Play - Rise of the reds Or you can try End of Nations, XCOM if you're getting it, or plenty more. Doom 3 would be a good choice for a vid actually. How about some of the Japanese horror games if you have any, those are usually good for a scare. Hmm.... got Silent Hill? Or Slender? Hell, if I had a YouTube account, video-equipment and the charisma to do LPs, I'd totally do one for that new XCOM right now. Such a fun game.

I'd watch 'em! Most of those you named sound like good candidates for a LP.

Im not sure if its really worth it to make videos of games you have already played. I would advise Dead Space and Dead Space 2. Solid horror games that you seem to have missed. Another good one is Prey. Nice story and good cinematic action. Already have actually, at least the first one. Fixing to playthrough the second one. Problem is I'm borrowing these from a friend on console NOT PC. Usually I do but I've got to use my 360 SOMETIMES. And yes the other ones I've played would be walkthroughs but luckily I've got plenty to choose from! I'll look into Prey =) Walkthrou Comrade when you start doing this post a link and I also want to see a camera on you're face for all the girl screams & heartattacks Hah- at a later date. Not in the first FEAR vids - which I've at least started editing right now. First parts coming up as soon as I finish the first template format. I'd advise against Skyrim for now since there are so many skyrim videos out there already. Or Slender? As I mentioned I'll probably endup doing only difficult sections of the game, some tips etc -- but as far as I'm concerned It'll come a lot later with me having plenty of time to think about. Sure, I wouldn't mind doing a Lets Play Rise of the Reds - something to show people how to properly fight against a Brutal army or hell, even a pvp game. We'll see. Silent Hill's are games I've already run through, the new ones are kinda shite to be honest and only have the second one on PC -- which I've ran through countless times already on console when it came out. Slender's super-short and I've already played it -- though they did make an update to it and its SLIGHTLY different. I'm glad there's some peeps here that'd want to watch them- guess I'll jump start this puppy after all. -------------------- SWR Co-Lead | Texture Artist | Modeler | Level Designer | Fan of all things Awesome |

Dude, play Doom I - II and Half Life, are the best of the genre action, suspense and terror in my opinion.
Yes! I would still play the DOOM (Ultimate Doom, Doom II) and various other WADS (mods for Doom). -------------------- You already imagined how would be SAP in the ROTR's universe? Check out this fan-fiction: South American Pact Introduction |

Anyways I'm rendering the video now, should be uploaded in just a little bit. Here's my channel or wait for the youtube post I'll make here when it's ready. -------------------- SWR Co-Lead | Texture Artist | Modeler | Level Designer | Fan of all things Awesome |

I thought I was the only crazy around here who liked the classic shooters ... I recommend you play with the Doom WAD BrutalDoom (search in Google) you will not repent, total carnage... -------------------- You already imagined how would be SAP in the ROTR's universe? Brütal Doom is something that you have to play for yourself. I'll just post the trailer here, pretty impressive what they managed to do with a nearly 20 year old game engine. I'd like to try out co-op sometime, actually.

I say you should have "Lets play 3dsMax." Where we watch you work on ROTR.
Just kidding. I would recommend playing System Shock. Great game, and it is where Dues Ex and BioShock came from. |

It looks good, but why is there no in-game sound on the video?

It has to do with my sound device, still trying to get the proper drivers in order to record my pc outbound.
A bit strange since it should do it by default so I'm pretty sure there's something up. May need to get a new card or find the proper driver - hence why at least these don't have the proper sound. -------------------- SWR Co-Lead | Texture Artist | Modeler | Level Designer | Fan of all things Awesome |

Try recording the sound separately using audacity or something. I've got something under my volume control called "stereo mix". Afaik, that's the sound card output.

Yes I'm aware that's what needs to be used. But that's just the problem - the sound drivers aren't allowing me to record my own video since they lack the stereo mix. Something to look into before I record the next parts. The next one is a speed up versions since its ALL combat anyway - I'll look into this before I continue recording. =)
