This is a mercenary who chops people up for a living with a machete, who doesn't play by the rules and fights dirty. I do not think he has much care for morality and even less still for cussing and swearing. Also, those lines for the most part are for specific new mechanics that will be introduced for all infantry, and given what those gameplay mechanics actually are, it makes complete sense as to why the man would say that, many of the units have similar lines of frustration given what happens to them.

I really like the new VO of the conscript. Much better than anything RA ever have.

It catch the characteristic of the unit really well.

I think that Merc VO is pretty good for C&C standards.
But as they stated above,since ROTR is C&C mod after all,unit VOs should contain less dicks and cunts...
I have grown in one really vulgar family and I really don't find it offensive or whatever,it is just that it is somehow out of place...
My thoughts.

Yeah Conscript is nice,I haven't understood much of its quotes but everything is better than recycling VOs from older C&Cs.

Can't wait to hear them in game,it will for sure feel different.

From my knowledge most of that wasn't used anyways, those specific qoutes- I just included them in the reel to give the character out. I still want the Bosses quote though, given the situation it'd be used in it'd be really, REALLY fitting and hilarious.

Keep in mind though vulgarity ain't nothing new in this mod or even C n C. There is already cuss words and swears in the CnC games and units, not even speaking mod wise yet. It's not left and right CoD standards (neither is the Merc) but its there. I could probs find examples but at the moment im pretty tired.

Could just say that's the uncut version of the Mercenary, and you get the "PG" version for in game =P. It's still voice work that can stretch beyond the confines of ROTR and be used for your own advertisement.

I don't know,I remember there were some ECA units quotes that can be vulgar to someone,but as for other CnC games,I simply cannot remember anything,
If you count CnC3 and 4 I haven't played them lot so I will hardly remember any quotes from them.

But at the end of the day even if stays that way it is not really big deal,I mean I just shared few thoughts about how it sounded to me at first...

I loved that Merc voice - it's really fitting, and dat heavy accent.

My only problem with the Conscripts voice is com-raid, but I'll get used to it eventually

The other Russian units (including my voiced units) don't have the particular thing in every instance. Different Russian dialects and what not, and the Conscript is supposed to be a young, eager recruit, not a burly 30 grizzled kaspootnik trooper from Siberia. So they might sound a bit clunky, which is intended
