The Osprey will remain the only airborne supply unit, so the ECA is going to use a ground vehicle for that purpose as well, just like Russia and China.
As for their secondary economy, it's going to be building-based, so no new-reporter/-van type unit that comes up as speculation every now and then. |

Will it be continuous? (ALA every faction besides USA) Or will it only come at certain times? (Like Supply Drop Zone)

Will the ECA get a transport Helicopter? Always thought a small transport helicopter would fit them IMO.

A good bunch of people there probably still believes the whole reporter thing... the same way a good bunch believes 2.0 would come out in summer. A few people love spreading... optimistic rumours... probably cause that gets them positive "karma". Ofc I got no clue why they need all the karma for. Will the ECA get a transport Helicopter? Always thought a small transport helicopter would fit them IMO. Last we heard, ECA won't get any buildable air unit beside the Tiger and Goshawk. So probably nope. But just curious - why would a small transport heli fit them? |

Also I dont go onto the ModDB sit unless i need to redownload the mod. its all full of trolls (looking at Mars pic....singing TROLOLolololo) and ppl that just want to start fights. So i say no thanks to sites like that. Just did a little research and I was wrong. I take it back. I agree, I think a light heli would fit the ECA. They are a nation under seige (not a nation per-se, but you get the point). The goshawk is a mobile air unit in that it can be rebased quickly and easily. having a scout heli with secondary attack (1 mg?) or transport (3/4 men?) would fit the profile of a mobile force that rebases quickly. Also, having a scout chopper would realistically help all that armor to designate enemy forces in the vicinity. It could also spot for artillery and air strikes, and maybe even spot enemy units advancing on base defences.

We already have a heli of what you speak, just not what you'd expect in addition

In other words, pretty much the opposite of a mobile force that re-bases quickly (which is probably GLA's cue)? Ofc I agree with the rest of what you said. We already have a heli of what you speak, just not what you'd expect in addition The ECA scout is a heli? |

^ Never said that I'm saying that there's a helicopter that could be used for that purpose. The Tiger seems a bit big for the nimble scout/spotter they are looking for. And last we heard the Tiger was supposed to be the only buildable heli for the ECA. So it's either - the Tiger ain't what we're expecting or the ECA scout is a heli (meaning Tiger being the only buildable Heli was meant for combat helis) or you guys have made another change to the plans or something entirely different. I was hoping it's the second case as I would love seeing another flying scout in the game. So yeah... in a sense I was just being a bit hopeful in my last post. xD P.S. - Now I wish this place had a "elegant smile" smiley... This post has been edited by SpiralSpectre: 24 Mar 2012, 5:51 |

^I am still feeling as lost and as helpless as ever.
BTW since there ain't any "elegant smile" smiley, can someone suggest a fitting smiley that I can add after saying partially embarrassing stuff like I just said? I seem to be saying these a lot lately. |

^I am still feeling as lost and as helpless as ever. There's another helicopter for the ECA whose function has not been officially revealed yet but which you will see on the battlefield somewhat often for reasons I am obviously not allowed to talk about (The_Hunter surgically removing the organs that declare me male and fertile with a rust-covered spoon is something I would rather try to prevent). There, you have it. BTW since there ain't any "elegant smile" smiley, can someone suggest a fitting smiley that I can add after saying partially embarrassing stuff like I just said? I seem to be saying these a lot lately. My personal fav though probably unfitting: |

How will the Tiger gunship compare to the other attack choppers, will it be more like a Comanche than the others? And also, the smiley dudes are funny, regardless if he is having he head blown off.
One thing though, the ECA APC (the lynx?), isn't that a Swedish APC, and isn't Sweden neutral, so how did the ECA acquire the APC? Or did Sweden say 'fuck the neutrality' when the GLA roflol stomped through Europe? This post has been edited by Panzer4life: 24 Mar 2012, 16:47 |

Lore-wise, Scandinavia will be part of the ECA, so they wouldn't be neutral. That's the very idea of a military alliance: Attack one of them and all the others are in as well.

Thanks for clarifying that. So what makes the Lynx better than the Chinese APC, the both appear unarmed.

Thanks for clarifying that. So what makes the Lynx better than the Chinese APC, the both appear unarmed. For starting, their stats would probably be different. Their carrying capacity would probably be different since ECA wouldn't need to carry as much troops as China. The Chinese Crawlers can be upgraded with Propaganda Speakers. The Lynx might have an unmanned MG. The Lynx would probably also have an upgrade that increases it's armour. I think that's plenty of differences between the two. Ofc you originally asked what makes the Lynx "better", I got no real answer to that. I don't even know why the Lynx should be better. Different - yes, but better? Dunno.
