I just did install the new Skype 4.1 and have to say it is much better than the 4.0 version that did have bugs and missing stuff.
Also is the quality of the connection better now in both sound and view.
So if you had problems on installing and configuration with versions 3.9 - 4.0 the version 4.1 might be helpful to you.
I did test this now with my college in china and now his voice was clear.
http://download.skype.com/SkypeSetup.msi
If you did test this also it would be nice if you tell us here.

Best regards
Wi-Ta

Did you never try to send a contact to a other contact?
Did your camera always function?
Did you not have bad connections if you did call to a other Continent?
Your audio was always nice in skype?

This is what we found here with 4.0 and now with 4.1 we not have this problems anymore. serious.gif

Best regards

I updated Skype and instantly two contacts that mysteriously appeared on my list tried to make me click questionable links.

In that case, I'll wait before I commit to the new version.

4.0 has worked fine for us thus far.

Skype 4.1 Firefox plugin causes my browser to become unstable... and for the first time ever. I received the Mozilla crash report window.

You shouldn't be using any browser plugins and toolbars in the first place.

Skype forces the install of the plugins.
