The twilight general
This is a story about war, it is supposed to be cruel. It shows the dark shadow of the war, and how the evil is everywhere. Also there where we don't expect it. I don't have much experience with fanfic or the lore of RotR, but I tried my best to make it a good read. It was a cold day in February as general Ruß led the armored forces of heavy ECA tank battalions against the forces of the Russian general Mirko who commanded the 23rd Russian heavy tank battalion. General Mirko had prepared his advance that would happen inside the city of Rotstieg. The evacuation of civilians was still going on as the first russian tanks entered the suburbs of the city. The crowds on the streets cheered when ECA vehicles drove by and the ECA soldiers, eager to defend this city, waved their arms. Suddenly it got loud, the sound of tank tracks on asphalt. Leopards and Kodiaks brutally clashed into each other on the front line of the city. General Mirko knew that he had the numerical advantage in this engagement and wanted to defeat the ECA resistance as fast as he could. After a few firefights the first ECA tanks retreated into the inner part of the city. General Ruß hated the general Mirko. Mirko won against him on the battlefield countless times before. But this time he wouldn't lose against him. As the Russian tanks made their advance into the inner part of the city they couldn't find any ECA resistance. Mishkas were sent, because General Mirko was afraid of having to drive through a mole mine field. Some civilians stayed inside the city in the hope that General Ruß would be able to fight back and destroy the Russian aggressors. But none of these poor people expected what would happen next. General Mirko looked on his tactical map in his command vehicle that displayed the positions of all his units inside the city. Suddenly he lost contact to big parts of the tanks inside the city. When he looked out of his vehicle he saw a big cloud rising up above the city. “What the heck!” he thought: “That could not be possible” Nerve gas, killing every human being inside the city was used. A cruel, forbidden measure by general Ruß. General Mirko wrote a letter to the ECA region command , but they never wrote back. They did however claim, that the nerve gas attack was made by General Mirko. Inside the letter, he questioned the sanity of General Ruß, using nerve gas inside a city. He knew that he himself was not a good man, but “at least I never used force against civilians” was what he thought, the day after the failed advance on Rotstieg. General Mirko didn't live for too long though. A sniper rifle round pierced the armor of his mobile command truck. “It's not fair!” were his last thoughts as the man died. Through the propaganda of the ECA, all combatants believed that General Mirko was a mad man. He was the one who used nerve gas and it's good that he, the crazy man with connections to Aleksander is dead now. Mirko was not buried as a general, he was buried as a murderer, and he never had the possibility to tell the truth, because who listens to a dead man? This is based on a real story. |

It was rather odd and random like your appearance to SWR, You must be new to ROTR cause theres alot of things in this post that amuses for reasons I cant disclose. When your trying to write a fanfiction thou here are some tips to remember: -Its FanFICTION; as in what you wrote is not real/true, not to mention its not cannonical unless Mars approves of it. -You should give dates along with the place the event took for what reason -Give some more personality -I didnt know you were a war veteran for this to be from a "True story" -Theres too many lore mistakes to even count, -The story is too short and too random to follow -He contacted ECA command for a complaint before he died? Actually this story is missing some important facts allow me toe correct this:
General "The Gunther" who was in command of the region where the supposed "General Ruß" messege came in. After analyzing and doing some minor research Gunther discovered that Generals Ruß was in fact still enjoying his vacation in Hawaii. This raised some interesting questions as whom this General "Ruß" really was. After some research and investigations were done it turns out "Ruß" was actually a impostor posing as him trying to frame him for war crimes he never committed. In sheer desperation this Mirko started transmitting his accusation claims on 3 different radio frequencies alto Gunther didn't care for any of these accusation and decided not to respond. After his impostor detonated several deposits of stolen Nerve gas killing off several innocent civilians and Russian aimlessly send into their death to make it look legitimate, General Gunther ordered some of his best snipers from the unit "Banish Hammer" to take care both of General Mirko and the Ruß impostor. This was the end of this little dramatic attempt and the war continued happily ever after. -------------------- |
