In today's update, we will be showing you the goodies that you can obtain by capturing USA Tier 1 tech with the Recycler.
Recyclers themselves will be able to carry a container which holds all the required equipment to control four armed drones similar to the USA WASP Hive.
Needless to say, the GLA had to do some improvisation of their own to properly arm their rather non-standard drones.
For your standard units, you can upgrade Scorpions with hover drives which slightly reduce their health in exchange for amphibious capabilities and a much faster movement speed.
And finally Marauders, which can also be upgraded with these same hover drives with the same penalties and benefits as the Scorpion tank.
Also, like every year, it is time for the ModDB awards again!

I dig the drones, but hover marauders kinda put me off. Though they have that nice brutal look
Do the GLA tanks behave the same way as the USA Crusader?

How is the weapon system chosen for the drones?
Pick a weapon up front (eg, quad cal) which will be used for all drones?
Or perhaps the weapon systems are randomly chosen each time a drone is built?
Is the list of weapon systems available for drones affected by the scraps collected by a recycler truck, eg, nuke missiles for T2 China scrap?

GLA drones are awesome,but TBH I don't like hovering GLA tanks at all,simply it doesn't look fitting at all.
As for voting I hope you will finish at least second this year.

It's the same as a WASP hive.
The truck spawns four drones, two with MGs, one with mortar shells and one with rockets.
Well, that's what I take from the stream anyways. Correct me if I'm wrong.

GLA Hover tanks? In almost 10 years of Generals modding, I never though I would see that one. They look pretty amazing.

Trade of for that is a permanent health reduction of 20% for increased mobility.
It spawns 4 of those drones at the start (one of each) and they will respawn respectively when destroyed.
Also worth noting that all of them are statisticly (almost) identical.

Next steps: Cliff jumping quads, buggies with penetrator rounds, grads with cluster munitions, partisans with railgun.............

I like how the one Targeteer Drone is carrying a beer crate 
I use them sometimes for firework on new year, but this is a totally different dimension.

Not really. Mostly vehicles units will get the unique stolen upgrades(not quiet sure). For example, some extra armor or stolen ERA armor.

I would never expect to hover technology for the Scorpion and the Marauder; although I do not like much of the appearance of the tanks with the upgrades this addition is interesanting to the GLA gameplay.

i am startting to think GLA aren't actually terrorist, but actual time-traveler refugees from a post-apocaliptic future

Since USA recycler upgrades for GLA tanks can optionally become fast and amphibious at the cost of health, is it safe to expect the Russian recycler upgrades for Scorpions and Marauders would be the opposite ??

GLA hover tanks tho ... now I've seen everything. I shudder to think what the ECA and Russia upgrades will be like ... and I'm also curious what the GLA upgrades will be, now that I think about it.

The work is flawless, as ever, but I'm not totally fond with the idea of hovercraft GLA tanks...
I remember there was a similar feature for kassad in shw, tanks could trade threads with wheels losing healt.
The idea was cutted in the final release, it was simply not a totally neat idea (and there was the need to make some space for upgrades). As then, i find hovercraft GLA tanks not so... Appaling. Just my 2cent...

Hovercraft Tanks, for the GLA... Looks a tad ugly and sounds a tad wacky, but it's pretty cool at the same time.
Should the GLA get their hands on tech like this, it would put the Crusader Mk 2 [and possibly America's high-tech in general (then again, it's GLA, masters of reverse engineering, we're talking about here)] to shame. But it's gonna be [a tad] difficult for GLA to get America's scrap (may differ in the case of Bradley, given America LOOOOOOVES its air force, and it may heavily use drones.
Although the GLA WASP Truck is not too shabby.
