By being mature, helpful, familiar with our rules and policies, active and - most importantly - modest enough
to not ask for it. If we decide that someone is a capable candidate, we contact them, not the other way around. |

Keep in mind that being a moderator means work too, not only flaunt a new badge.

And there are people here would've had prior moderating/administrating experience from Fallout Studios, but have yet to acquire the job here. Keep in mind that being a moderator means work too, not only flaunt a new badge. Maybe you should introduce a 'Gold Member' status for those who only want to flaunt a badge. No real other perks. Maybe a bigger inbox or something -------------------- |

Give them a pink member badge. That might be breaking Rule 10 Perhaps Elite is better than Gold Members as a name xP -------------------- |

Though gold membership is about more than flaunting a badge; it indicates someone who has contributed greatly to the community in their time with it. Some Gold Members also retain access privileges depending on their involvement with projects and the moderating team.

Quite a lot of popular forums use it. Although some don't. -------------------- |

Makes me curious though, does SWR forum also use the Gold Member way of thanking people who have meant something for the forums/the team, or is there another way (medals or something like that).

At this given time there is no such thing and at the given moment i also don't see any need for it.
This does however not mean that it could change in the future -------------------- |
