So, having listened to the RotR soundtrack, I've noticed it was kind of incomplete (less than 9 tracks per faction vs 11 for each vanilla faction, which also features a cohesive musical style throughout the same faction). Given that C&C Free to Play was cancelled, I thought why not insert the soundtrack into the game and make use of it? This made me think, and ultimately, I found some tracks that I think could fit well with those, for the ECA. Then I also felt inspired to take on Russia, which retains some of its original tracks, but dumps some of the more classical Soviet tracks for something that sounds more modern-futuristic Russian.
My goal was to make the soundtrack more cohesive for each faction, and integrate Earth 2150 Russian music and C&C F2P EU music into the fold. Granted, these are just suggestions, and I really just did it for fun in the first place, I thought I might as well share the list with you guys. New Main Menu Theme ECA CNC F2P - Main Theme CNC F2P - EU01 CNC F2P - EU02 CNC F2P - EU03 CNC F2P - EU04 Battlefield 3 - Thunder Run Bill Brown - Electronic Experimental / Rock - Watching Planes Land Bill Brown - Electronic Experimental / Rock - Night Watch Bill Brown - Electronic Experimental / Rock - Fractured Bill Brown - Electronic Experimental / Rock - Dark Euphoria Metal Gear Rising Soundtrack - Dark Skies (Platinum Mix - Low Key Version) Billbrownmusic (soundcloud) BB Underworld Prohibition Tension Russia (Some of these are lacking individual tracks, had to link to a video containing all of the faction-specific Earth 2150 music, just scroll through while paying close attention to the short-lasting text that appears, and you'll be able to find the respective track I referenced) Freedom Fighters OST - Nightfall Freedom Fighters OST - Zero Hour Earth 2150 - ED Day 01 Earth 2150 - ED Day 02 Earth 2150 - ED Day 03 Earth 2150 - ED Night 01 Earth 2150 - LC Night 03 Earth 2150 - LC War 02 Earth 2150 - LC War 03 Earth 2150 - LC Stat Earth 2150 - LC Day 03 Earth 2150 - ED War 02 Earth 2150 - ED War 04 Red Alert 3 - Exploring in Russia Red Alert 3 - Threatened in Russia USA soundtrack remains the same. China soundtrack remains the same. GLA soundtrack remains the same. Credits track remains the same. I can send all of these in MP3 format, should anyone want them, but they can be found online, as well (with some looking around). And by the way, does anyone have anything that sounds like the EU CNC F2P tracks (Someone mentioned Portal)? I'd like to find more similar tracks, given that my suggestions aren't exactly quite the same as those, though I'm positive I've found/heard musical tracks in games that sound similar to those EU tracks, in the past. And if anything, my suggestion would be to use the EU tracks, if not for the rest, or just the CNC F2P theme (because it sounds epic). Any suggestions of your own? Anything blatantly obvious that I missed? This post has been edited by Alex06: 4 Mar 2014, 3:39 |

The current soundtrack is fine in my opinion

Uh, I prefer the current ECA tracks. It used songs from Codename: Panzers, which was very good.

ED Day 03 is already part of the Russian soundtrack :/
I prefer the current ECA songs. I blends well with the slight cheesiness of the ECA voices, and their use of old/traditional/gritty weapons like machine guns, mines, and cluster munitions. Your selection sounds too clean and modern. This post has been edited by Zeke: 4 Mar 2014, 9:20 -------------------- |

Personally, I prefer the current ECA tracks because they have a more sombre, weighty and vaguely militaristic feel to them than this. The tracks are from WarGames, Codename Panzers and Sim City Societies. Plus, the idea of salvaging the rotten corpse of that stillborn F2P game for content doesn't sit right with me.

Music is always a matter of preference. I wouldnt mind hearing some of the mentioned soundtracks in RoTR. It would make the game a bit more fresh when it 1.85 rolls out.

I am fine with all the sounds currently in the game but i wish they return the old main menu music, it was very epic.

i like the current soundtrack as well. not saying it has no room to improve but to fit in the theme and style is very important, the current one does it fine with very little techno flavour(it's just those electronic sound, i'm no expert in music critics), which has a fairly strong presence in America. music should be distinctive just like buildings and units.
I personally feel like ECA and Russia, while being normal armies like China and USA, lacks some intense themes like US01 CHN07,08, 11, or something simply majestic like USA 09, CHN 04, or something like this which is one of my all time favourates:D yeah that's my opinion. I think Russia faction might be better if add a bit red armyesque tune. freedom fighter's composer had studied russian music, but that doesn't make his work sounds like hymn to red october or soviet march, which made some people believe they were actually russian music |

Hans zimmer always does an awesome job and I like that a lot as well. that's a bit too dramatic for the rest of the soundtracks i think This post has been edited by Jam Hacker: 4 Mar 2014, 19:39 |

IIRC they had to remove that song because of possible copyright problems, so I doubt it's going back in. I really liked that song as well This post has been edited by Zeke: 5 Mar 2014, 2:22 -------------------- |
