Hey guys. I am looking for a new video card.

My current one is the Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS. Now, this is good for running games, but it can suffer at high graphics, especially with shaders on. I need a new video card that doesn't suffer. My current budget is around $250. And that card will needs to have PCI Express support.

So, any tips on what I should get?

what company are you looking for? ATI or Nvidia? i mean i suppose Nvidia would be best for you since you already have one. Also how much ram do you have and whats your processor? it would be kinda a waste to get a really nice graphics card but the rest of your computer cant keep up you know, unless you plan on upgrading the rest in the near future. just to narrow some things down to give us a better idea of what you may be looking for.

My Processor is an Intel Core Duo E4500. The power is at 2.20 GHz, and 4 GB. I would get a Quad core, but I have a lot of older games on this computer, so Dual Cores and Single Cores are pretty much the only things that are supported.

My RAM is currently 3 GB. Strange, it used to be 4GB...

My Operating System is Windows XP. I don't plan on upgrading until Windows 8 comes out.
