Malaysia is one of the few countries during the Global War On Terror that objects the way USA is trying to pacify the world through an act of force, rather than peace talks and discussions. That is until the GLA beginning to slip past Malaysia's security forces and established a few training camps on the borders between Malaysia and Thailand. This had humiliated Malaysia internationally as more and more fighters were proven to be trained in these camps by the CIA. Desperate to protect Malaysia's Sovereignity, Malaysia reacted with sending in elements from its most successful "Jungle Fighters" ranging from the elite 10th Brigade Para in a Joint Operations with Thailand's army Special Forces. After successfully eliminating the camp, Malaysia's Prime Minister Dato' Seri Mohamad Ariffin realizes that future potential threats might needed more than peace talks and offering and started to revamp the Armed Forces under the 'Combat Awareness Program(CAP)' in order to face future threats more swiftly.

After the infamous 'Zero Hour Policy' by the United States and the lost of a balancing force in the South China Sea when the Carrier Group of US Navy, stationed near the Philippines to deter the Chinese aggression on the disputed Spratly Islands, were called back home, left the islands to be under Chinese mercy. After the Chinese rolled in from Thailand, taking over the whole peninsular swiftly in just a few weeks. Despite the efforts, what known today as 'the Peninsular' are now under Chinese control with the Government in Exile being stationed in the Borneo islands. Malaysia urged its neighbors to help retake its stolen ground but as the world knows it, you might not want to be in the way of the now fully awaken 'Eastern Dragon'.

After the loses of major military bases in the peninsular of Malaysia, Malaysian Armed Forces consolidate what assets they may have left and rebuild its military strength despite in exile. Now, its military consisted of what few units left that weren't captured nor destroyed after the China annexed the Peninsular into GAPA, vowing to retake their lost lands when the time comes.

Tactics:
Hard-hitting Mobile & Modular Strike Force, Counter-Insurgency Operations, Guerrilla Operations(After Chinese occupation)

Infantry

Construction Unit
Field Engineers: Trained in a squad of four, this field engineers can clear minefields and disarm explosives as well as providing MAF with construction capabilities.
Can be trained with Stamina Training(Infantry runs faster)
Lore: Due to the constant highly mobile nature of COIN Operations, the Royal Army Engineers of the MAF were trained to erect a tent or build a clearing for helicopters. They are also trained to clear minefields and disarming explosives and are armed with SMGs for defense.

Basic Infantry
Royal Ranger Regiment: Armed with a burst rifle for precision firing and armor vest.
Can be trained with tracking skills(Limited range stealth Detection)
Can be trained with Stamina Training(Infantry runs faster)
Lore: Due to the hit-and-run tactics used by the GLA, many MAF infantry fell into victim by ambushes set up by the GLA, as regular infantrymen would only carry the obsolete M4A1 and few grenades to counter against the GLA Dushka nest. The higher ups then decided to arm the frontline soldiers with burst rifles in order to better respond with ambushes and to emphasize on marksmanship. Due to the thick jungles in the border, Satellite scans were rendered useless, thus prompting the MAF to train this infantry with basic tracking skills to detect hidden enemies.

AT Infantry
Anti-Tank Trooper: Armed with Carl Gustav, can clear garrisoned buildings
Can be trained with Stamina Training(Infantry runs faster)
Lore: Despite the decade old Carl Gustav Recoilless Rifle, it was proven to stand against most contemporary armor. With 84mm shells to crack against whether an enemy armor nor an enemy structure and the newly acquired technology of Shrapnel Shell, this specialists' rifle is proven to be nightmares for GLA insurgents hiding in tunnels nor any structures.

Support Infantry(GP)
PARA Forward Air Controllers: Laze targets for bombers, can recover pilots. Armed with supressed SMG and AA Missile launcher.
Can be trained with Stamina Training(Infantry runs faster)
Lore: During the opening stages of the operations against GLA Camps in the borders, a squadron of RMAF F/A-18 Hornets bombard the positions of these camps and which surprisingly to the CIA and the MAF Intelligence services, met with stiff AA fire, resulting in 3 of the fighter jets shot down over enemy territories. The jets, were the least of the concern however as the downed pilots would likely be the targets of the GLA. Para QRF Troopers were sent into the jungles accompanied by several Commandos to rescue the downed pilots, successfully extracting while coordinating airstrikes for another wave of jets.

Elite infantry(GP)
Commando: Can place demolition charges. Armed with with supressed SMG.
Can be trained to capture buildings
Can be trained with Tracking Skills(Limited Range Stealth Detector)
Can be trained with Stamina Training(Infantry runs faster)
Lore: Born by the Special Warfare Training Center, the Commandos were an umbrella term for many special operators across the Malaysian Armed Forces branch. Such branches would be the Royal Malaysian Navy's PASKAL, The Malaysian Ground Forces GGK and Royal Malaysian Air Force PASKAU operators. Tasked upon infiltration into enemy base, sabotage and assassination, the Commandos faced the GLA head on during the operations and were tasked to hunt down the leaders who escaped to Thailand. After the occupation of the Chinese, the Commandos carried operations against the Chinese where most of the time once a Commando is captured, he could know well that the Chinese wouldn't spare another second for him to live and try anything stupid.

Hero Unit
Lt. Adnan: Main hero unit for MAF. Mortar, 9mm Pistol.
Lore: Lt. Mohamad Adnan was among the soldiers of the Royal Malay Regiment who was assigned on the defense line on the last day the peninsular still being hold by the MAF. He was known as an outstanding soldier, for his bravery on defending the line while numerous Chinese forces continues to pour in as one by one of the defense installation falls. After the Chinese break through the final defense perimeter, the Malay junior officer continues to hold at his platoon mortar position and only survived a hit from the Chinese "Inferno Cannons" when one of his Sergeants disobeyed direct order to left him behind and dragged him to the last remaining DRB Hicom, vowing to avenge the death of his fallen men and teach the Chinese a lesson for invading his homeland.

With upgraded engines and suspensions, the G-Wagon still holds the capability to manoeuvre in Malaysia rugged hills terrain. Armed with the well known and aging Mk.19 Grenade Launcher, it can transport up to 5 infantry with survivability chances of 0% due to the lack of armor in favor of mobility.

Light Tank
Alvis Scorpion:
Upgrades: Camo Net
Upgrades: Armor Platings
Lore: Something that learnt from the Japanese invasion of Malaya during WW2, the MAF adopted the Alvis Scorpion as the basic light tank as the geographical terrain of Malaysia offer limited use of MBTs. Although rendered obsolete during this decade, the Alvis was modernized after the CAP to fulfill the armor roles for MAF.

Adapted by the MAF in the 2014, the AV-8 Gempita receives upgrades along the years and were planned on to be retired out of MAF services. You obivously know nothing of dark magic. You need pineapples to reveal the unseen, coconuts are used to commune with the spirits of the dead.
