Well, first of all I would like to thank the repies from both shock and picky. I figured to mix your strategies, using both Kwai's massive tank depots with the empty listening outposts. It worked like a charm, and sent Juzhiz and his scud storm packing!
I went what the hey and began playing against Dr. Thrax Vs the Infantry General, Fai on hard mode. Now, playing with Dr. Thrax against hard AI Fai, I would expect a tough uphill battle when I do the same Vice Versa. It really wasn't that hard! At first, I thought to let him build up his forces while I began standard operandi as with any challenge to the (supposedly dead, but never dying, which is awesome) good doctor. Wasted his early targetable defenses and building up my own gatling cannons in both areas where his defenses once stood. Soon came the hordes of tanks, tractors and at one point in time, buggies and his own Scud launchers. After fighting off the initial wave, I had my three barracks (fully teched up with patriotism) spew out single soldiers with a single squad behind each of them. It was a dream to behold as each of them kicked poison butt. I've never seen a squad of 15 units (squad included) strike and come out relatively intact. Granted there a few poor bastards choking on purple goo, but they soldiered on and turned the doc's base into a never growing cropfield for some time. Fai effin rules, much like the Armor General, Ironside. Rocksilver Oh yeah, for those who don't want to read my little blog, I'll give out pictures and abridged versions, instead! Dr. Thrax Gen. Fai Gen. Fai + Dr. Thrax = Dr. Thrax becoming: -------------------- War...War never changes, but the way you tell it can decide whether it was glorious and heroic, or demonic and an act of terrorism.

Is this a map specific post or for universal skirmish use?

I was only wondering, because he mentioned he played as DrThrax vs Fai, and I assumed he does not mean the GC with that and so I also assumed he did not mean the rest as GC but skirmish as well.
@Rocksilver: please clear up which map(s) you mean. |

Ah, sorry, I guess.
For Doc Thrax, I just used both compact maps like alpine assult and big maps like mountain guns. the tractors were spreading their gifts everywhere and in mass. Stops being funny after a while though. For Fai's case, I meant the GC. I certainly thought it would be tougher as Hard Doc was tougher on skirmish than GC. I think this would clarify it. -------------------- War...War never changes, but the way you tell it can decide whether it was glorious and heroic, or demonic and an act of terrorism.

What I think is that in the GC, the AI for some reason attacks with less units than on skirmish maps. Playing with Fai might be a bit of a disadvantage, however his Berserk MLRS can be quite helpful. Defend them with his tanks and keep Assault Crawlers next to them with loads of Minigunners and Double Tank Hunters inside.
