Here are my outlines of possible Shockwave campaign plot & mission detail.
The theme might not be very innovative but it fits with new stuffs from Shockwave.


Campaign Order
- GLA
- USA
- China

Theme
GLA >> resurrection after losing the war
USA >> fight GLA at first but it is lured to believe China is enemy at the end
China >> fend off USA and found out about planted evident, combined with USA to fight GLA in the end

GLA mission 1
Years of hiding and eluding detection, GLA forces are in disarray.
Player starts as lieutenant a terrorist cell.
Your cell leader believes that in order to reunite GLA, General Mohmar Deathstrike must be the leader.
A strike team (Stealth General basic infantries) is sent into USA territory in Middle-East to rescue Deathstrike.
Rescue prinsoners to gain access to reinforcement.
Once you've rescued Deathstrike (and some workers), USA force would attack.
In order to buy Deathstrike some time to escape, you must build a base and defend the area for specified time.

GLA mission 2
Reunited with GLA force, Deathstrike orders a liberation of a town under USA control.
After liberated, USA Laser General is deployed to take back the town.
After destroying USA base, USA reinforce will come but a large group of suicide bombers attack them first (cutscene).
Juzhiz announces his support for Deathstrike after destroying all USA reinforcement.

GLA mission 3
USA retaliates by bombing GLA Demolition General base in a city nearby.
Player is tasked with defending the base from air attacks.
After defending for a while, a spy of Stealth General reports that SW General is deploying superweapons.
Player must destroy the superweapons and USA bases.

GLA mission 4
Suffering heavy losses due to recent attack, GLA plans to re-develop chemical weapon.
A spy reports that the man who can do that is held captive by China PLA.
Player is given a barrack, a palace, and a black market (under camo). Jarmen Kell is given and must not be killed.
If player destroys a patrol, large number of China force will be dispatched to investigate.
Player must secure a ferry pier. The ferry would then automatically move toward a pier behind Chinese facility.
Player must sneak into Chinese facility and rescue captured man and escape through a civilian ferry.

GLA mission 5
The rescued man is developing a new chemical weapons. Some troops are given basic chemical weapons from previous war (Anthrax Beta).
China Tank Brigade is deployed to destroy the player. Player must defend the research bunker at all cost.
Player must secure a civilian airport before the research is finished. As soon as it finished, Leang will attack in force.
Once the research is finished, player is given 3 trucks carrying new chemical weapons. At least one must reach the airport and board the plane safely.
Ending scene is plane flying away while Earthshaker cannon hit the base.

USA mission 1
Starting the campaign with an assault on a GLA fortified coastal city, player must establish a beach-head (combat drop from chinook, tank delivering by heli).
As soon as the beach-head is secured, cutscene shows a combat chinnok is shot down and there are survivors sending distress signal.
Player moves in to defend crash site until a chinook arrives to take survivors away.
Dozer is sent in to build a base. Player is ordered to capture a building which is suspected to be a hideout for GLA leader.
Once captured, the GLA leader has already escaped. GLA then started retreating.

USA mission 2
An airbase was recently attacked and the commander is dead. Player is chosen to take over temporarily.
Starting the mission with dozer drop into the airbase, player must repair and build some defenses.
After a while, player receives distress call from an US outpost (SWG).
SWG outpost is testing new weapons (plasma tank, shatterer, etc...) in the field but they are caught in GLA (Deathstrike) offensive.
After a while GLA would begin to attack the airbase, player must defend the base and destroy GLA force.

USA mission 3
Intel reports that GLA is fielding chemical weapons. Player is given control of Ironside taskforce.
Start mission with some oil rigs, barracks, and war factory. Player must locate an informant and bring him back for debrief.
After debriefing the informant, several chemical bunkers are revealed.
Player is ordered to capture several chemical bunkers for chemical samples (in order to develop antidote).

USA mission 4
US force is planning an offensive on a GLA stronghold. Burton (upgraded with grenade launcher) is dropped behind enemy lines to destroy all AA.
Burton is informed to meet with forward team hiding in a small village (pathfinders).
Once the village is cleared of any GLA infantry, the pathfinders will appear.
The team must attack several stinger sites while avoiding GLA patrols on the highway.
Once completed, chinooks will arrive with reinforcement and dozers. Player is then ordered to attack a GLA forward outpost.
When the outpost is destroyed, China Nuke general (which is in fact, GLA-captured China arsenal) will attack the player.
Player must attack and destroy China Nuke gen base.

USA mission 5
Command decides to make a preemptive strike against China. Target is a ChinaPLA base in the region.
Player must build a base quickly then capture and defend a satellite jamming station for a duration to let spy satellite locate the China base.
Once the base is destroyed, cutscene will show PLA mobilization and narrator describes China declaring war against USA.

China mission 1
USA has launched a massive invasion of coastal area in Eastern China. Player is a junior PLA commander.
US airforce is attacking the weapon bunkers around a town near China base. Player is tasked to defend weapon bunkers and protecting the evacuating civilians.
After half of the civilians are evacuated, USA will send Ironside to join the fight.
Player is given 2 choices; fighting once the Ironside force landed or capturing all beach-heads in a time limit.
If player succeeds at capturing beach-heads, false signal flare will be lit and the Ironside will cancel the landing. If player fails, he/she must fight off Ironside.

China mission 2
Player is transfered to western region (mountainous terrain) where US is making a push by using air deliveries.
Commanding a taskforce of Infantry gen, player must root out USA forward team (paratroops and some light equipments) and defend a few oil facilities.
After eliminating the forward team, the mainforce will arrive. Player must ambush the mainforce before they reach the oil facilities.

China mission 3
After successfully ambushing USA force in the west, player is given command of the powerful Nuclear taskforce to assault USA Superweapon Command.
Player can capture communication center and hack US power grid, shutting down the outer defense line for easier attack.
As long as the communication center is captured, the outer defense will be shut down.
If US force take it back, player can retake it but must wait 2 minutes before shutting power grid again.

China mission 4
To end the war against USA, player is tasked with uncovering GLA plan. Player is given Super Lotus and a fully loaded Listening Outpost.
Black Lotus must infiltrate GLA territory and capture a small GLA outpost (stealth gen).
Player must use stealth infantries to infiltrate and capture Nuke bunker before escorting her to an abandoned airport (to a waiting helix).
If player destroys more than 5 def structures, the alert level will rise (start at 0).
If alert level reaches 3, the player will fail. Each alert level increases GLA defending units.

China mission 5
Player takes command of Leang Army to assault GLA stronghold. Important GLA leaders are believed to be there.
Player can help defending a USA outpost and gain access to USA ally.
GLA leaders must be killed and all command centers must be destroyed.
Ending cutscene is execution of several GLA.

I plot these mission on a basis of non-skirmish game feeling. New units and abilities would have been used for sure.
And creating 15 missions to a level of detail I posted earlier wouldn't be easy. However, if it's successful, it will give players another challenging and enjoyable aspect for Shockwave mod.

I would actually set the GLA in the middle OR make the campains independent from each other OR make them intervined (like in TW). There is one thing I do not like about Gens campains and that is the impossibility for a side to actually win the conflict. But the basic idea is good I guess, only wait for 0.96 wink.gif

GLA always be in the middle ever since C&C Generals. And I happen to like China more than the other two, so I put China last and GLA first.

Well i could help with this... after a bit of fiddling i worked out the basics in world builder mission making. Currently i am working on a mission of my own where it is a general training for battle but when i'm finished i could help wink.gif

Great idea. For 1 of the missions we are United GLA army. The most deadly threat is here, General granger, is in GLA controlled spain. We are tasked with capturing the com center. After this, jerman kell and some rebels boards a plane and then it takes off. In the next mission, we are tasked with blowing up an important Ironside base. However, a small anti air base prevents this. After the team paradrops in the area, you are tasked with blowing up the anti air turrets and power. After everything is destroyed except the com center (Captured) They paradrop a huge force to build a base to destroy the main base. Now all 7 missions are done for GLA, there needs to be 2 more for the others.

I\'ve worked out how to do a few basic missions etc. Give me a plan of the map and objective criteria and i\'ll give it a shot!

EDIT: Managed to throw a few things together:
1. A GLA village where the player starts off with some supplys for money (workers build set will be removed though)

Here's the detailed GLA missions.

GLA mission 1
The map is longer in North-South direction than East-West direction. Desert terrain.
Player starts to the South in a valley. A town is located around the map center with river running through the town (East-West direction).
There is a road leading from player start point to the town with scattering tents and some supply dumps.
There is a hill in the Northern part of the town of which the prison holding Deathstrike is located.

US soldiers (Rangers and Missile Defenders) are the main force that hold the town.
In addition to US infantries, the prison camp is also guarded by a few Humvees.
To rescue Deathstrike and some other prisoners (GLA workers for base building later), all US troops guarding the prison must be eliminated.
Player starts with only Rebels (Stealth Gen) and is forced to rescue some RPG troopers before attacking the prison (or Humvees will slaughter them).

US soldiers are holding non-vital prisoners around various spots in the town.
Each building that holds prisoners should be marked with smoke (beacon) and guarded with a few US infantries.
To release the prisoners, guarding infantries must be eliminated. Player can only gain reinforcement this way before rescuing Deathstrike.
Once the prison holding Deathstrike is secured, the General will board a civilian truck.
Player must escort the truck to the start location to the south and at least one worker must survive and start building a small base.
After a short while, the message announces US attack and a timer starts. Player must hold off US force until the timer is expired, buying Deathstrike some time to escape.



GLA mission 2
The map is a town in a large valley with a few entrace to the valley. The town could have oasis in the middle to make it more like a desert town.
In the liberation stage, playing area is limited to a town and the player starting area to the west. Once the town is liberated, the map expands to full extent.
There could be an abandoned GLA supply stash nearby that can be given to the player once the town is liberated to construct a base.
In the map, there is a canyon to the east. This will be entrance for US reinforcement in the ending cutscene.

Player is given a taskforce (no base yet) to liberate a few population centers from USA.
Population centers are guarded by US troops and some Humvees.
Each liberated population center will reinforce player with a few angry mobs.
Once the town is liberated. Player must build a base and fight USA Laser force located to the Northeast.

(Cutscene) When the USA base is destroyed, US reinforcement will arrive in the canyon to the east. The area could be mined with demotraps.
GLA Demo Gen suicide bombers (bomb trucks, terrorist bikes, terrorists) will start to attack and destroy the reinforcement.
Then Juzhiz will pledge his support for Deathstrike.



Revised GLA Mission 3
The map has a city in center area to northeastern area. The terrain is flat plain in southeast to center then raises into hill/plateau in northeastern area.
There are mountain ranges to the north and east. East range limits passage to US airforce base.
There is a river to the south. SWG base is to the south but the area will not be playable until player reach rank 3-4 (which is when SWG appears).
An oilfield is located to the west, capturable by player.

Player base is located in the southwestern area of the city (industrial area).
Starting scene, Juzhiz requests your help defending one of his base that's being bombed by US airforce as a retaliation to his attack in mission 2.
Player first objective is to bring some AA reinforcement and workers to defend and repair Demo Gen base.
Then player is ordered to hold the line for a time limit (10-15 minutes) while Deathstrike is sending his big AA for you.
After that player can start attacking USAF.
SWG will appear when USAF lost all airfields and helipads, deploying 3-4 superweapons.
Last objective is simple; destroy all USA bases.



GLA mission 4
The map is mountainous and covered with snow. Southern part is hill and cliff. Northern area is village and forest.
S-shape steep bank river runs through southern hill down toward the northern area.
There are 2 ferry piers; one to the north on east bank and another to the south on west bank.
Player starting point is in the northern edge of the forest. China detention facility is located on the hill to the south, not far from the second pier.
There are multiple roads through the village and the forest (however, there is no road close to the player starting point).

Player, Stealth Gen, starts with a barrack, a palace, a black market and Jarmen Kell. Jarmen Kell must survive.
Jarmen Kell rifle upgrade is not allowed.
Player should be given a minimap even though there is no radar van. Briefing cutscene will show the detention center and the piers.
China troops will patrol the roads. Each patrol will have at least a troop crawler with gun upgrade and some infantries.
If player manage to destroy a patrol, a battlegroup (that player has almost no hope to defeat) will be sent to that location to investigate (about 1 minute on site).
There is a group of helix with various upgrades patrolling around the hill. There is a number of infantries and a listening post at the north ferry pier.
In a motor pool near the detention center, there are a few unmanned gattling tanks.
Player can take control of those gattling tanks to dispose the patrolling helixes.
The all listening posts inside the camp must be destroyed or unmanned before releasing the prisoner.
After that, secure the detention center to release the prisoner.

As soon as the prisoner is released, China reinforcement will arrive to the east.
The prisoner and Jarmen Kell must board the ferry before China force can catch up with them.
Ending scene shows the ferry moving away to the north.



GLA mission 5
The map is a coastal area with mountain and plain (like Bombardment Beach map).
The beach is located to the southwest and run along to the west with large area for possible beach-head on the west beach.
Highland is located to the northeast with a village and farmland. There are multiple wide entrance to the highland.
There is an abandoned airport to the southeast area.

Starting scene shows Tank Gen landing on east beach (civilian sea vessel may be used here).
Player starts on the highland. There is a chemical bunker/plant located to the northeastern corner.
Player must defend the chemical bunker/plant from China attack until the advanced chemical research is finished.
Player is limited to Green Anthrax.
China Tank Gen base is located on the west beach. Some of his tank will be guarding the airport.
Player must secure the airport before the research is finished.

When the research is finished, a scene will show Leang units landing on southwestern beach.
3 chemical trucks would exit the chemical bunker/plant and start moving toward the airport.
Leang would then attack the airport and the trucks. Player must protect the chemical trucks and at least 1 must reach the airport.
When the truck(s) successfully reaches the airport, the scene will take over and show that they're boarding and aircraft before taking off.
It would fly by the highland and witness Leang superweapon hitting the player base.

With a bit of ini editing you can make the jumbo jets takeoff from the airfields.

Just do two takes?

The aircraft take-off and such from the vZH campaign are actually placeable objects.

So for this to work the way you described, you'd have to make one...

I've revised mission 3 a bit.

Revised GLA Mission 3
The map has a city in center area to northeastern area. The terrain is flat plain in southeast to center then raises into hill/plateau in northeastern area.

Detail of USA missions has arrived. smile.gif


USA mission 1
Map layout has a coastal city to the north and the sea to the south. From the beach to the city is an open area with sparodic civil housing.
Beach area is large and filled with GLA-erected tank obstables. There are only two exits from the beach, the area is mostly cliff.
There are garrisoned GLA troops on those exits. The beach area should look like it has just been bombed by airstrikes.
There is only one road leading toward the city, which is protected by a cliff on one side (southwest).
There is an office building on the raised terrain in the middle of the city, housing GLA leader.
City defense should be prepared for frontal assault (heavy def to south side). If player dislikes assault, there is a way to sneak in from the northeast.

Starting the mission by touring the beach/cliff with briefing, player is ordered to clear GLA troops guarding the beach area.
Player starts with Chinooks loaded with Rangers and is ordered to clear garrisoned troops on the cliff so that tank group can land.
As soon as the garrisoned troops are cleared, hovercrafts move in with various vehicles.
At the same time GLA vehicles would start attacking the beach exits held by Rangers. Player must destroy all enemy in the beach area.

After that, the map turns to a scene showing a Chinook flying toward the city but it is shot down at the outskirt, leaving some wounded survivors (not controllable).
Player is ordered to secure the crash site and defend the survivors until Medevac Chinook arrives and takes away any casualties.
Once the chinook lifts off, another one flies in to drop a dozer. Tomahawk and some hitech units are unavailable.
Player wins by garrisoning the office building where the GLA leader is located (player can win by combat drop if the area has no more AA).
Once garrisoned, the player will find out that the leader is already escaped. Then the scene shows GLA retreating.



USA mission 2
The map is rocky and mountainous terrain. Northwest plateau with multiple entrances is a location of damaged US airbase.
A wide canyon with almost dried waterway starts from northeast and is curved/widen down to the south, opened up to a large farmland plain.
Civil housing scatters in the farmland along with some supply dumps. Main source of income from the airbase is from supply dropzones.
SWG outpost is located to the southeast, testing new prototype weapons.
Outpost includes a barrack, 2 upgraded powerplants, 2 patriots, a war factory, and a group of plasma tanks and shatterers.

Player is ordered to repair the airbase and build some defense to protect the base from GLA raiders.
GLA raiders are mainly technical with some rebels and RPG troopers (or terrorists).
Another objective at this stage is to establish supplyline (supply depot) in the farmland.
Once the supplyline is established, the game would announce arrival of GLA Demo force in the canyon (northeast).
GLA raiders will stop attacking at that moment.

GLA force will ignore airbase if player don't attack them (announcement to the player is also needed).
When GLA force almost reach the canyon mouth, the player will receive distress signal from SWG outpost.
Player is given command of the outpost and at least one of each Hi-tech weapon must survive until Carpet Bombers arrive.
Ending the mission with carpet bombing of GLA force in the canyon, killing them all.



USA mission 3
The terrain is barren mountain (like in Afghanistan). US outpost is located to the southeast and there is an oilfield close to it.
There are six villages spread around the map. One is not too far from the outpost (housing hidden informant).
Five chemical bunkers spread around the map (not too close to the outpost).

Player is given command of Ironside force. First objective is to secure the oilfield (only a few GLA men are guarding it), the only supply source for player.
Player outpost includes Barrack, War Factory, 2 Powerplants, Radar, and some base def.
Then Command orders the player to find an informant (by securing the village where he lives) before GLA does (timer starts: 10-15 minutes).
Once the village is safe, the informant (civilian) would exit his home and give player location of only 3 of 5 chemical bunkers (he doesn't know the other two).
Chinook arrives and brings him away. Player is given order to locate and capture all 5 chemical bunkers.
Each chemical bunkers is located near each village except the one with informant.
Large number of Toxin Gen force would be guarding these villages. Capturing all chemical bunkers to win.



USA mission 4
The map has a town in the middle with river running through from northwest to southeast. There is a hill/mountain to the northeast.
A canyon mouth is located at southwest corner. The terrain is desert mixed with farmland on river banks.
Some wreckages spread around the area from the canyon mouth to the town, indicating a failed attempt to assault.

Stinger sites and Deathstrike mobile heavy AAs spread around the town.
There is a resident area to the east of the town, housing forward scout pathfinders.
There are two GLA patrols moving around the town via main highway. Each patrol has a radar vans, toxin tractors, and various infantries (+Kassad Sniper).
Burton would be inserted by parachute to the southeast. He is ordered to meet with a team of pathfinders.
GLA infantries in the eastern resident area must be eliminated before the pathfinders exit from hideout to meet with Burton.
Then the team is ordered to clear all AA in the town while avoiding the patrols.

Once cleared, some jets and bombers would bomb GLA patrols and ground defense.
Chinooks would then deliver some dozer and reinforcement.
Player is ordered to destroy GLA outpost guarding the entrance uphill, which is suspected to hold larger GLA stronghold.
But once the GLA outpost is destroyed, China Nuke Gen would attack fiercely.
Intel reports China outpost is to the northeast corner. Objective is to neutralize the threat.



USA mission 5
The map is mountainous (like in Tibet). Wide plateau is positioned to the south. Supply depots and small villages spread around the map.
There is some open space to the northwest. Small Chinese outpost is located to the northeast.
China base is on the plateau but is not in playable area during the first stage of the mission.

Player starts at the open area to the northwest. China is jamming spy satellite signal at jamming station nearby (China base is not in playable area).
First objective is to attack and capture the jamming station to the northeast.
Once captured, China force would keep attacking and try to capture it back. Player must defend relay station for 10-15 minutes (to deactivate jamming).
If China can recapture the station, player must take it back and the timer would be restarted.

When the player succeeds, the playable area would expand to China base plateau.
A distress signal is sent from a stranded USA scout team. If player rescues them, fixed AA structures would be revealed.
Objective is to defeat China force.
Ending scene shows China full-scale mobilization and a message describes declaration of war against USA.
