It seems some what unrealistic that you can't fire over supply drop zones and units have to go round them to engage enemy... considering they're extremely low height would it not be possible to make units fire over them?

There would still probably be a lot of damage dealt to the Supply Drop Zone -------------------- |

More like being able to kill that annoying GLA infantry spawn power without too much hassle, but they'll blow up the SDZ anyway

In these cases being Granger is good since Acolytes are cheap for Anti-Infantry work inside your own base without having to reveal the locations of your Kingmanches

I guard my SDZ's with Microwave Tanks, whenever I remember to build them. It's satisfying to watch a rebel ambush fry as they spawn.

Funny player as well to spawn a rebel ambush without scouting first

Has the rebel ambush any use but cannon fodder in a base filled with enemies?

DemoGen's ambush is much more...explosive and Kassad just hides until they're found.

Indeed, Kassad's are useful as scouts

This was implemented in the internal-internal build of ShockWave today.
Units will now be able to fire "over" or "through" (whichever description you prefer) the Supply Drop Zone. -------------------- |

There is a kindof called "CAN_SEE_THROUGH_STRUCTURE"
Add that and the structure will not pose a obstruction to weapons fire. -------------------- |

Cool thing, thank you The_Hunter. Seems like EA did at least ONE thing right this time Even if they actually forgot using it.

Argh! My boxed in supplys! All useless now...
Are you sure about this? IMO, its an extremely onesided disadvantage for all GLA's... This post has been edited by walkingGhost: 5 Oct 2009, 18:20 -------------------- "Under communism, man exploits man. Under capitalism, it's just the opposite." --- John Kenneth Galbrith

Supply Drop Zones, the secondary money supply for USA sides is what is being changed, not Supply Centres, walkingGhost.
