It. Kicked. Ass.
It totally beat Russia's May 9th parade out of the water. Prolly the most epic parade I've ever seen. Some kick-ass mil tech, some seriously epic formations, and as well as a considerable amount of national pride (myself included) You guys should be able to find this stuff on Youtube in the next two days. When you do, Watch it, it's well worth it. These troops and paraders worked hard for this parade, and they should be watched. Plus, there's only gonna be a big one every ten years, so the next one isn't gonna be until 2019. So, has anyone else here seen it or are looking forward to seeing it? Some pics of the rehersals: Sneaky missiles rehearsing. Some Chinese Marines learning to not cross the line. Edit: Video Time! The Flag Raising Ceremony The Troops Portion The Vehicle Portion *NOTE* -When I tested watching them on this site, the audio's kinda wanked (I get the sound of a soccer match instead). However, this was fixed when I clicked the icon to switch to 'standard definition'. (it's the only button with Chinese characters in it. Out of all the formations, I have to say, the Chinese Women's militia could probably pwn everything in that entire parade. Watch the 'Troops Portion and skip to the end and you'll know what I mean. I have to give you guys credit for how well you pull off these massive events. The Beijing olympics are another example.
Also, happy 60th anniversary, Red China. |

I do love those blue camo patterns, though. These must be very useful when they're fighting under water or in the sky.

I watched the news and the BBC said that alot of it looked retro which i found quite harsh tbh. I personally enjoyed watching the parade and wish my country would do something like this more often and not just when the troops come home.

It totally beat Russia's May 9th parade out of the water. Well the Victory Day parades there aren't as big as the October Revolution ones during Soviet times... -------------------- "Not in mood...go away..." The Woman's Militia is now officially invited to invade my country. Just don't expect them to return.

I watched it too, 9 or 10 segments of 10 minute video clips adds up to a 100 minute march of men, vehicles and aircraft. I'm surprised that didn't reveal a whole lot of new top of the line tech though.
