Am I extracting from the correct BIG file and modifying the correct INI file? Is the file path wrong? See linked screencap.

This is ROTR 1.87 latest release.

I'm trying to modify USA Humvee and changes are not taking. It's Origin on Windows 7.

(File extracted from !!Rotr_Intrnl_INI.big)

the file are correct , try to remake the Big file (with all the file exported+the new one) ,
then replace !!Rotr_Intrnl_INI.gib(or just put it somewere out of game foulder) with the new one,
pretty sure you need to manually change the file format into .gib or the game read the vanila Ini and crash

Thanks for the reply, I'll try that.

There are no crashes and I'm not sure meaning of BIG vs. GIB, I haven't done any BIG file re-naming.

And sorry about the GIGANTIC screen cap.

No, you move.

GIB files are turned into BIG ones when the launcher turns on the appropriate mod.

Try removing AmericaVehicle from the name of the files.

Also, Blackhawk belongs in Object/America/Aircraft, not Vehicles.

Thanks for the hints, it's now working. Yay!

I tried the same approach with the Aspyr Mac version (for ShockWave) but there's something about that port that doesn't seem to recognize the subfolders. Whatever it is that tells the program to look in Data/INI/Object before executing the normal configuration seems to not be there like it is in the original Windows version.

gib are big renamed.

is a good way for avoid conflict with other mod's (most of the mod use .big , and you need to remove other mod for play different one)

Thanks. I finally was able to modify the Mac version of ShockWave, it works just the same as Windows. I obviously was doing something wrong...
