I took a look at the Windows version of ROTR 1.5, and realized that it also works perfectly on Mac. So I have made an installer that automatically installs ROTR 1.5 for Mac users, and have packaged it in a easy to use DMG.

Can somebody else confirm if this works? Because if it does, I would like to upload this to Moddb (with your permission of course).

I don't think there are much Mac users here, but I can give you the source code to check, its written in RealBasic, a simple language based on Visual Basic.

We didn't anticipate to set a release for Mac for 1.5 nor for any versions. It was always the fans who did this for us : o

If you don't mind we'd like to upload this on the ModDB site if you would allow us =)
(given the proper credits of course!)

I don't think that's really needed. Unlike my package where you explicitly needed to move files, this guy created an installer, and unlike Windows, all Mac directories have been standardised since the first version of OSX years ago. So in essence there's really no need for an installation guide when the installer does everything with 99%+ success rate.

After looking it through, I made a mistake reading through the xml file that tells what files to move. If you remove or rename Scripts inside Data, the AI should work fine.

Hey,

I just downloaded the installer for 1.5, and it said the instalation was complete and all i needed to do was run ZH, but when I did, nothing popped up. (I'm running ZH with shockwave, and the shockwave intro appeared instead of ROTR)...

Any help? Thanks!

I have ROTR fully installed and working on my MBP. Only thing is the AI seems to give up after about 5-10 minutes of game play. Any suggestions?

EDIT

Right after I posted this, I tried andydam's suggestion and it worked perfectly. And wow, that was a big effing change to the AI.

You have to remove all of the shockwave files from the zero hour directory I believe, at least, that was the problem for me before, I just did a fresh re-install and installed ROTR. Best decision ever.
