There seems to be a problem with my laptop's left click, the left click would occasionally get "stucked" and give out sporadic bursts of clicking barrages, sometimes it (except the right one), wouldn't work briefly. At first I sensed that it was the mouse's (a wireless USB optical one) fault, BUT when I removed the mouse and using the touchpad alone, the same whole thing happens! I think this issue might have started with an annoying cursor jump that ocassionally occurs whenever I type text (that was a month ago or two).
There could be two reasons: 1. Something's wrong with the drivers, OR 2. Something sinister, might be a virus/worm either playing tricks on the comp or screwing up the former (scanned the user and system folders, found some, but might be unrelated to the issue)... Any solutions/advice? Unfortunately, Google and Yahoo! Answers give out pretty different/vague/irrelevant results and solutions, so I don't fully rely on them though. So the left-click function for BOTH the touchpad and the mouse isn't working properly? Try updating the USB driver on your laptop or reinstall them. (remove them from Device Manager, Windows will reinstalling it during the next boot)

I think this issue could be caused by the laptop's touchpad. For now I'm looking for its drivers/updates, which when installed, allows the touchpad to disabled once a USB mouse is inserted -- I'll see if it works... As for your solution I've already tried it, to no avail

Sorry for the late answer.
This was also a year ago a problem on my Dell M65. I solved this with this steps: 1) Installed the newest mobo-chip driver 2) Deinstalled driver touchpad 3) Run ccleaner 4) Restart 5) Install new driver Br Wi-Ta -------------------- QUOTE (NergiZed @ 5 Dec 2010, 18:51)  Just add some green particle effects and it'll be like X-mas~!
