The golden Dollar, An alternative game mode
Would you want to play this gameplay mode?
For games on SWR net, mostly inclined on 1v1 games

No [ 8 ] ** [50.00%]
I only play agaisnt bots and this wouldnt help me or them [ 4 ] ** [25.00%]

So as I was busy writing and planing out my SAP subfactions design plans, (Ones that'll stay as plans Im not modding a seventh faction here)

Decided I should watch some Zero hour gameplay with my dinner, alongside my current troubles with the mutlitplayer in this game and how it works I panderd on why ROTR feels so "safe"

The reasoning being that dozers are relatively expendable and radar is a right, not a privlidge.

So I decided to try out this gameplay mode and Im inviting others to try it out with me.

This isnt a file that fixes things for now, Its morely a rule that asks people to follow and play along.

"The Golden Dollar"

-------------------
-Gla is so far removed from balencing this mode due to combat bikes and command truck being an earlygame factor.
-All players must sell their command centers by the time their first barracks is complete or if they ignore rax when their second supply center's construction starts.Also they are the only ones who lack T0 detection
-Command Centers are only buildable if you have acccess to Tier 1 (Might change this to a one time thing so if you built it once it unlocks)
-Hunter Killers Banned from T0 starts,

I might add more rules but this is it for now

What does this ruleset/game mode allow for?
>Turns the tide of battlefield awareness around; Now only russia has access to radar at T0 if they can afford it
>More vunerable dozers, leading to less risky expansions and movement
>Less sloppy base building
>More insentive on early game unlocks and GP's (Lets admit it, unless you really really wanted to persue a spesific gameplay style some factions just got R3 unlocks.Im looking at you USA and ECA)
>More insentive on earlygame production and Infantry play as tiering up brings the risks of getting outproduced or having your dozer get caught out of position.
>More reasons to build mines and protect buildings

>All players have 1 more dollar! You can go get that 99 cents burger at mcdonalds and have change too!


Extra notes; If thsi does gain populiarity I might consider adding a minipatch file that alters things.So far the patch would include;

-Command truck locked behind Black market
-Command Truck being stealthed by default
-Find a way to "neutralize" battledrones weapon till Drone weapons upgrade or lock it behind T1
-Probably change combat cycles to include stingers rather then rpg's or make them combat rebel bikes.
-Swap out Commanches tier requirement with hunter killers (price unchanged)
-Increase all teching ups time by 5 and add 20 power requirement for T2
-A sort of buff for mstas as they would be rarer to see
-Superweapons at Tier 1 with reduced cooldown possibly
-Find a way for ECA to be more viable with either a free field command (Limited to 2) or cheaper dozers
-Make skyshields and starstreaks easier to get
-Ranger price and Osprey gather rate reduced from 110 to 100 and osprey gathering reduced from 600 to 550
-Something about stopping/balencing the T1 Chinhook rocket pods
-Felin price decreased to 85

And before I knock this off to the forums, I want to say;
This is not a replacement or should be compared to RGO/Knjaz patches for balence, Its just a diffrent game mode for diffrent playstyles and a psuedo experiment for some concerns I had.

Would it be better if players start with small army instead of Command Center? So they can fight early raids. Like 3-4 mg infantry, 2 at infantry, 1-2 t0 mg vehicle, 2-3 t1 tank, 1 t2 aa, plus 2 builder.

You can give GLA supply quads from Shockwave to replace Worker in Supply Stash.

Also ECA can have radar T0 because Field Command has Radar Chopper upgrade.

Sorry. Sales Tax in America (or VAT in the EU) makes that burger more expensive than a dollar will cover.

Im not going to make this a full fledged mod for now as it seems unpopular.

Its basicly how ZH plays out,
Risk to move your dozers or leave them open
No radar early game
Scouting is further limited.

Regicide would actually be easier to implement too. Every person has a commander unit they must defend, if it dies, the player is defeated. Such a unit already exists in the game and it would not be hard to make different ones for each faction. That or just have it to where if the command center dies, the original one, the player dies.

That's not how tax works, McDonalds decides the price for marketing reasons (99p) which you the customer then pay and tax is deducted from that total. Big companies tend to lend greater weight to marketable prices rather than inflating their base prices for tax equivalence.
