We've heard about the russians and the europeans a lot but what happened to China? What's the degree of chinese involvement in the the war? Is there a possibility that the russians might invade China or that the chinese counter-attack the russians as an act of retaliation and support of their former allies?

Right now, China and Russia are not at war, but the two have been quite hostile ever since Suvorov took over. There has been ethnic tensions in the Russian Far-East even before the war and the Chinese government has enacted a policy of responsibility towards its expatriate citizens. The tide of war has turned in favour of the ECA and the PLA appears to be building up just outside the Russian border (see update 'A Change of Heart' for more information on the current status)

Russia will HAVE to put up a fight, no matter if they actually can or not. If the Chinese force another front upon them, they have to fight either way. If anything, an event like this might serve to accelerate the course of the war, one way or another. Needless to say, China would still need a reason to justify an attack.

It's part of the reason the Chinese are pissed off and gearing up for a possible intervention, but as long as it doesn't turn into a state-sanctioned ethnic cleansing campaign - which it won't - there isn't enough of a justification to kick of a literal second theatre to this war, not even by Chinese standards.

China is already in a state of war against Russia on the sidelines supporting the ECA in the European theater, perhaps the Chinese government can start the war earlier than expected by the Russians.

China isn't supporting the ECA in Europe either, that's only the United States since the ECA went nuclear in '48. There's probably a whole lot of shit-flinging going on at the UN though.

Hmm, I thought I had read something about China support the ECA in Europe against Russia but I was wrong.
