Likely not. That sort of thing would probably change too much about the core game mechanics which we try to keep clear and close to the original game. This means that your primary method of acquiring resources will be supply depots plus the secondary method that is unique to every faction (like Drop Zones for the US, Chinese Hackers, etc.). Naturally, the ECA will have their own secondary income mechanic as well which we're going to reveal at some point in the future.

That would most definitely require tremendous amounts of scripting and scripters are even harder to come by than mappers these days. Some of these are probably impossible technically as well and in any case, it'd be too much work for something that is purely cosmetic. It would HAVE to be cosmetic as it would add unnecessary random elements to the game if these environmental effects affected the actual gameplay in any way, which is a no-go. On the plus side, the mod will eventually feature some additional skirmish/multiplayer maps once we got to that.

Will there be other special buildings to capture around the map, similar to the Oil derricks or the oil refinery that will provide an edge in battle should you capture them?

At the start of the game, will the GLA Command truck be pre-deployed?
I don't remember getting the answer to this question, but what differentiates Special Weapons and Secret Weapons General? Other than faction and aesthetics, obviously. Will the former be similar to ShW Leang and the latter to Remix Townes? -------------------- |

Whats the "type" of music going to be used by the ECA? Obviously, I can't just tell you guys what it is exactly and where it's from, but when I first heard the ECA soundtrack, it invoked associations of desperation and determination at the same time. It generates mental images of bitter fighting over every inch of ground, a stalemate at the frontline with both sides fighting mercilessly and without end simply because they have to. Overall, it actually somehow manages to sound more militaristic than the US soundtrack with a slight but noticeable touch of fascism even. Which isn't to say that the ECA are supposed to be a Nazi faction, but as with all the other factions, their moral alignment will be grey as opposed to clear-cut good/bad guys. Some elements will make them look like brave, heroic soldiers defending their continent against impossible odds, others will paint then in a more cold, methodical, somewhat machine-like fashion which is rather well-reflected by their soundtrack. Will there be other special buildings to capture around the map, similar to the Oil derricks or the oil refinery that will provide an edge in battle should you capture them? Possibly, yes. It's a low priority though and we're not going to stretch the feature of tech buildings too far. Whether their deployed or undeployed hasn't been finalised yet. As for the difference between the two, the Chinese Special Weapons General could be described as using all the typical Chinese weapons except with additional effects such as EMP, radiation and Napalm, making him a 'status effect general' if you will whereas the Russian Advanced Weapons General uses stuff that is actually very high-tech and completely unequivalent to the arsenal of the other Russian factions like Shocktroopers, railguns and Tesla. |

^ The truck will be included with the Starting hole, and thus you will then proceed to move it and probably deploy at your leisure

He will be different in the sense that his abilities are currently being re-worked because vehicle clearing abilities had to be taken out for technical reasons.

IIRC it's been revealed that Jarmen Kell will have his vehicle-sniper ability replaced by... something. That part hasn't been revealed yet. Pilot-killing mechanics are gone entirely in ROTR for the reason that various units (and AFAIK even a structure), like the new Crusader, rely on the bike logic, which is broken by vehicle-sniper weapons. Try and use Jarmen Kell or a Nuke Cannon's neutron shells on a Combat Cycle and see what happens - exactly, instant-kill.

So is the neutron shell gone for good? Or is there any chance it will get replaced/reworked?

As a rule of thumb, any speculations regarding the ECA that is based on old Rise Of Europe content is to be considered baseless at this point. We have radically reworked most of their units, structures and abilities to the point where there's little left in common between RoE's Europe and RotR's Europe. The neutron rifle wielding ECA hero from RoE is among the things that did not make the jump. However, I can assure you that the new ECA hero will be a more than adequate replacement as he's very much going to be an epitome of badassery.

are China and USA still allied together, or there will be some conflicts between them? Well, from what I can piece together from the official storyline... Basically, GLA forces attacked a Chinese convoy in Africa while posing as Russians, escalating the rivalry between China and Russia into a full blown conflict. The US took a break from isolationism and sided with China, forming the short-lived Pacific Peace Alliance which came to an embarrassing end after the joint Chinese American strike force got its arse handed to it by the Russians (the decisive battle which is depicted in the shellmap) and a series of political assassinations in Washington. Sooo I'd say China and the US are neutral towards each other on the military level right now. |

Will it be a completely separate EU country to those of the generals - just so one side can't claim ownership of him It's much more likely the nationality will simply be "classified", much like Jarmen Kell, otherwise it would be unfair. Boris, Burton and Lotus' home countries are obvious. Though quite honestly I would prefer a woman as well because of gender equality, which Gens/ZH lacks a lot. Not wanting to make advertisements for a mod I'm involved with, but Red Alert 3 Paradox takes gender equality whole-heartly serious (then again, in THAT mod all commandos are female, so there). |

However, I can assure you that the new ECA hero will be a more than adequate replacement as he's very much going to be an epitome of badassery. That's how they usually describe Burton and some RotR fans also describe Boris the same way. Hopefully this hero is gonna be different and/or have unique abilities compared to these two... right? Not asking what his ability is, just asking for a little confirmation. edit - gender is no biggy for me but I would also go for female just to even up the numbers on the red-ish side and blue-ish side. Neutron weapons will not make a return to the Chinese arsenal. I know that this was done due to the coding limitatiions of the Crusader IIRC but there was a lore reason that Overdose metioned a while back (I think...) that Neutron weapons were ditched. Is that still kept secret for a future update? |

It was mentioned in the update that included the Chinese Nuke Cannon. Apparently, the "Budapest Convention" of 2027 effectively banned the use of
tactical neutron weaponry, likely because the Chinese made extremely liberal use of such weapons in their war against the GLA in central Asia and Europe. |
