I would go with my Fan-Fiction to the essence of Command and Conquer:

A theater of war where the 4 military superpowers face mainly the powerful Terrorist Cell called GLA that threatens the existence of the world population and its stable economy, launching massive attacks and sowing chaos around the world.

Each faction would have more units of the XX and XXI century, adding the best heavy tanks, diversity of vehicles (artillery, ballistic, transport and utilitarian), combat aircraft (hunting and bombing) Helicopters, Drones, etc.

ECA would be a faction such as USA, China and Russia; with more units (and not necessarily because of his defensive strategy class). Like ECA, the Chinese faction would also have significant changes in terms of its units.

USA: AH-64 Apache, CH-53 Super Stallion (utilitarian), M1 Abrahams, M2 Bradley, Merkava IV, Stryker, F-35 Lighting II

ECA: A-129 Mangusta, EC665 Tiger, Wesland Lynx Helicopter (utilitarian), Challenger 2, AMX-56 Leclerc

CHINA: CAIC WZ-10, J-10, Chengdu J-20, Shenyang J-11, Tipo 99A2

RUSSIA: T-14 Armata, SU-35S, SU-30, SU-34, Kamov Ka-60 (utilitarian)

Among other units more...

Personally, I do understand people wishing for things like the ZTZ99 or J20 for China, in fact, I think units based on them could be implemented in a way that also gives them a distinct role and identity.

However, the thing I just don't get, that I keep seeing ever so often, is people wishing for modern day hardware pieces that would not only be dated/obsolete in the 2040s timeframe of ROTR, but you actually have their in-universe replacements/successors in-game already. Such is the case for the Apache, which has been replaced by the superior Comanche, the Abrams which was first interpreted as being the Paladin and now replaced with an all-new Paladin, the Mangusta and Tiger which are both predecessors to the Tiger that the ECA already has, the Ka-60 which is pointless when you already have the Hunchback as your Russian transport helicopter, the CH-53 which is equally pointless when the US already have Ospreys, Blackhawks and Starlifters for transport, etc, etc. The ECA already has a fictitious Leopard 3, so why also have a current day Challenger 2 or Leclerc, not to mention an Israeli Merkava tank for the US and the usual laundry list of Russian combat aircraft, which people want to see added purely because they exist, with no idea as to what their actual purpose could be.

Yes, but that would be a fictionalised Challenger 3, in-lore anyway.

Regards!!

Well, to defend my Fan-Fiction I can recognize that if it is somewhat demanding my idea to add all these units mentioned above and that rightly seem obsolete for the case of ROTR whose history goes to the year 2040 as written.

I am a great fan of this video game and my focus is on that gap that was left empty by Electronic Arts (EA) since the last installment of what would be Zero Hour in 2003 to 2040 of what is Rise of the Reds. EA Games left a huge gap in the series, with a game that had and still has enormous potential, and until ZH there were very few playable units for each of the 3 factions; is where I see that the desire to want more units is born, the team that made ROTR also perceived that and not only added and improved many of the units that already existed, but also added the ECA and Russia Factions which is extremely excellent.

Personally that was what most caught my attention about Rise of the Reds, in addition to the quality of graphics and gameplay (which does not have any other Modd), the variety makes the game more fun and is what I like the most.

Adding all that would level the powers in a certain way ??
A: Yes, why not?
If this is the case, that is what happens in the story, is it normal for each faction to be updated or ¿is it better to see cavemen vs jedi fight with laser weapons?

Of course, for many of you it seems shocking the ideas that can occur to ordinary players about the version of the game but do not take it badly... it is just a great game and everyone has particular and individual tastes.

You quoted his post, yet completely ignored its contents and gave no argument for why any of it should be considered, irregardless of the fact that almost everything you listed was already suggested - and shot down

And now, please give a brief summary of what these units would -hypothetically- be like in-game, like what role they have in their respective factions, what weapons, what abilities, what unique features that make them distinct and different enough from things that already exist.

Well, this seems like it might be an interesting way to spend a few minutes.

Apache III*
Replaces Comanche as standard attack helicopter. Griffon gets the Comanche as his exclusive with stealth.

Super Stallion III*
Bradley's Exclusive transport helicopter (Since the Super Stallion is a Marine helicopter). Carries Lots of Infantry I guess.

M1128 Mobile Gun System
Tier 0 TankArmor type unit with a 105mm HE gun? Long-ranged tank destroyer?

I'm just gonna assume these are Abrams, so Abrams IIIs
Erm. Okay fine the Paladin is literally the in-universe successor to the Abrams. I got nothin.

Merkava II and IV
The II is just another generic tank, but the IV could be used as a ambulance or transport unit. Y'know, if israel were in the game.

Tiger Gunship
Yeah. Tiger II. Already in game.

Could be justified as the ECA pulling out mothballed helicopters due to how much of their current air force has been blown up, meaning it could be a generals power reinforcement option? Maybe Wolfgang?

Armata
Again, the Kodiak is supposed to be the actually-practical end result of the project.

Z-10? (Is it the Z-10?, all I see is a Chinese attack helicopter). The UI is interesting though.
Could be Jins? It's capable of air-to-air which the current Chinese choppers aren't. The Blimp isn't really an attack helicopter and the "ominous black helicopter" look might fit him.....sorta.

* They're so intense, they skip over the II designation.**

**Yes, I did just add that so I can make a family guy joke.

Hello friends!!!

I'm sorry, I have not had time to connect and continue with my small exhibition...
I repeat to you

I would go with my Fan-Fiction to the essence of Command and Conquer And also, I repeat to you: my idea is to add all these units mentioned above and my focus is years after the first war against the GLA (2003 Electronic Arts). As I already told you, for work reasons I do not have much time so I will write faction by faction like my Fan-Fition would: wink.gif beer1.gif

1)USA Units

SUPPLY CENTER:
The Osprey as the main supply and transport aircraft of USA.
Capable of loading up $600 worth of supplies in one go.
Cost = 1.000 USD

Combat Chinook: as a secondary and optional Supply and transport helicopter. The Combat Chinook also has gunports that allow infantrymen transported inside to fire at enemies within range.
Capable of loading up $900 worth of supplies in one go.
Cost = 1.400 USD

CH-53E Super Stallion as a secondary and optional Supply helicopter.
Capable of loading up $1.100 worth of supplies in one go.
Cost = 2.000 USD

War Factory:

Tier 0: Humvee, Ambulance and Avenger
Tier 1: Crusader Tank, M1128 MGS Stryker, M2 Bradley and Wasp Hive (whitout Microwave Tank)
Tier 2: M1A2 Abrahams (this unit replaces the Paladin Tank), Chaparral and Tomahawk Launcher

Airfield:

Tier 0: Hunter Killer Drone, Little Bird, Viper and Blackhawk
Tier 1: F-22 Raptor (Hunting). Comanche (without "Rocket Pods" but greater agility and speed + Stealth Comanche Upgrade) and Star Lifter
Tier 2: Nighthawk, F-35 Lighting II (previous configuration of hunting or bomber), Predator Surveillance Drone and AH-64 Apache (high load capacity of rockets, antiaircraft missiles and firepower)

These fireports: "The Combat Chinook also has gunports that allow infantrymen transported inside to fire at enemies within range."

And everything is either not in, or removed for a reason, be it postponed until 2.0 or simply replaced with something better; the Chaparral was replaced with Patriot SAM, but performs exactly like it.

mmmmmm very good wink.gif thank you.

I'm not as crazy as it seems hahahaha
Today I downloaded Shockwave 1,201 and I liked how the Pavelow (Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low) looks, it has a newer style than the Chinook of the original game. cool.gif
Shockwave contains many other units, something like what I show in my Fan-Fiction... I like it a lot more as ROTR is composed, with a lot more units in each faction. 8chi.png

¿Is it my idea to integrate those units (AH-64 Apache, CH-53 Super Stallion, M1 Abrahams, M2 Bradley, Stryker, A-129 Mangusta, EC665 Tiger, Wesland Lynx Helicopter, Challenger 2, AMX-56 Leclerc, CAIC WZ-10, J-10, Chengdu J-20, Shenyang J-11, Tipo 99A2, T-14 Armata, SU-35S, SU-30, SU-34, Kamov Ka-60) into ROTR, which collides with what is actually ROTR and future versions?

Short answer? Yes.

Long Answer?

Rise of the Reds does not really take place in a "Modern-day" setting nor does it really care much for realism. At the very least, it's set one "Generation" of tech ahead of the modern day. The Abrams is obsolete and has been replaced by the Paladin, Armata was a complete shitshow and the Kodiak was the final, practical result, so on and so forth.

You know, I agree with Viking. ROTR should have the Apache and the Abrams and those other vehicles he mentioned above.

For the GLA though.
