I am not saying here situation wise, but which Protocol and the gained abilities do you like the most ?
Mine is the Manticore. Manticore Tank should be obvious; it's one of my favorite units in the game; I mostly use it against Russian Sentinels to see some nice Heavy Tank Battles. I love the Anvil Bot as it's pretty good aganist the AI and the Speed and armour upgrades. Now tell yours. P.S: Pick only one. As of now Venom is the choice for me.
It's not because of the Jumpjet nor the Venom suits. It's because it greatly enhance the power of basic infantry. Those thing are spammable, don't mess up pathfindings and can literally annihilate everything as long as there are enough of them on the field. For Manticore, even with the upgrades ECA tanks are still pretty sluggish. There is still a big chance that the Manticore can be taken out even with proper escorts. And once it's down, things will go down hill and your counter offensive become a failure. Because everything is slow, escaping death is clearly not an option. Pandora, requires things to be carefully planned and executed. The Pandora itself is quite fragile, so if you lost it you pretty much have no way to press on for several minutes. Unless, you go for superweapon spam which is not really feasible. The sweeping fire mode and nerve gas strike are awesome, though. Playing with Pandora is all about blasting things up, then base crawling till you control most of the map. And this can drag on forever if both sides still have plenty of money. Venom by a long shot
As X1 said, they make your basic infantry kinda scary to deal with when there's a lot of them. I also find more fun using it compared to the two other protocols (oh that lovely sniper rifle sound) -------------------- |

Manticore, just because its a cool name and provides a huuuge f*cking tank. Which imo is one of the best looking units in the whole game.
The anvils can be really helpful too, by protecting more valuable units. And another fun thing to do is, upgrade gepards with the hydrogen fuel cells and watch them rush around like crazy |

Pandora. First of all, because of the concept that with it, ECA throws any concern for basic human decency right out the window, which translates into pretty epic weaponry. Even the Pandora Driver is not really sure of this.
Second of all, The Fenris. In any mod of any game that I played, where Cryogenics were used as a weapon, I loved it. Here we have something that either freezes its target solid (and in case if infantry kills it through snap-freeze) and when charged, it kills the driver of the vehicle, leaving it capturable for any one (also, Ice Beam was my favorite move in Pokemon Crystal back in the day) And it's also the only Protocol that changes the way the Solaris Relay works. |

Nothing beats the Manticore. Nothing. Nothing. Don't even try to argue with me - it is invincible. Every other protocol pales in comparison. Pandora? Oh its a flimsy nuke, China's got that already. Venom? A girl in a suit of armor, take that away what are they? But the Manticore, oh yeah baby! 2000 tons of German engineering in its prime. A Manticore, supported by Leopards, Gepards, Mortar Tracks and fully upgraded makes every Sentinel, Marauder, Overlord and Paladin turn tail and run to their mommas.

Venom, cuz who doesn't like spamming infantry that are more potent than China's infantry spam ??

Venom because it makes infantry far more useful than the other protocols make their respective units. The actual venoms are just icing.
Manitcore is alright too if I fell like it. Pandora is rubbish imo because it effects too few things & the unit it gives doesn't support the artillery play-style. |

Venom. Because of that scary Felin rush you can now pull off. Seriously, Felins and both Venoms make for a pretty devastating quick strike force. Jumpjet troopers are also icing on the cake, as they can take out enemy T2 AA without incurring their wrath (although you have to watch out for lighter AA). |

Heh my baby Pandora is winning. And now it's a tie~I prefer the Venom protocol because of pseudo Volunteer Squads and the mobility, range and power of the Venom suits. Manticore tank blobs are fun, too ... but the Pandora protocol ... while it does have its uses, it feels severely lacking in offensive options and frankly I don't know how to use its perks to the best of their abilities. Venom. Can be anywhere on the map in moments and marathon engineers can be a nightmare flanking.

i like venom
because two is better than one. the two of them are very interesting to play, more micro orientated but not absurdly demanding the feminism touch in the VO is very refreshing, but i don't really care about exo skeleton or jet pack grenadier that much prior to 1.85 i prefer manticore most of the time. because when you get a pandora, when you get manticore, you pack it with a load of tanks and arties, the manticore becomes more than what it is. when you have a pandora, you need to be extra careful about when and were the shell is going to explode. it's more of a Single Action Device for Interdictively Strategic Termination. if used properly, it is not particularly helpful in a siege, nor general long range fire support. |

My fav protocol is Pandora. Because I like long range artillery. It is a long range and massive artillery, What's better than this? It is actually ECA version of TOPOL
