Ok,

so can't relate it to shockwave alone but it definitely has something to do with having more then one SWR mod installed. So I guess I can post it here. mellow.gif

I installed all availabe SWR mods again and everything runs fine so far except the background animations in the menue. The menue background is basically a still frame with no music running. Also when I go to skirmish or multiplayer you can't hear music. Just the the sound when selecting options via mouse.

The strange thing is it happens with all mods and even the vanilla ZH since I installed the mods.

A friend of mine only installed shockwave and there it runs fine.

Could it be that one of the mods (ROTR, WGZH, ClassicGen, SW) produces this bug / behaviour (interference) when all mods are installed?

Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?

Thanks in advance for all help.

^This.

Specifically, run ZH in Windows XP SP2 compatibility.

i'v not had any issues like that however.

ShockWave does only have working music if you're playing with at least one AI opponent.

It's not a cruical problem, as I said, ingame works fine. It's just the menue background that is frozen. And for the music, it starts on the loading screen but there is none in the create game (multiplayer) setup / lobby and title screen.

What I mean is that this background is a still picture -> no animation, no sound. Basically as if the video / background is on pause.

This is what it looks like on my PC.

Also the XP compability mode changes nothing.

Well I guess it is like it is, thought someone had a similar experience with win7 and Gen / SW.

Thanks for the help.

EDIT

Found something... it has something to do with win7+ 64bit and the shell map.

I'll have a look into this. biggrin.gif

EDIT 2

OK, found the solution. The hint with the XP compability mode was right.

I made the mistake and set it on the launcher.exe not the generals.exe. rolleyes.gif

So => generals.exe => compability for XP SP3 for all users!

Oh that makes sense i thought you weren't getting any music at all.
Just that the shellmap wasn't loading.

Also not trying to be a grammar nazi here but you seem to intentionally write "menue" it's actually just "menu" wink.gif
