In an attempt to move into the 21st century (and because my disks are getting really scratchy and no longer work reliably) I got origin generals and ZH.

Problem: Can't play with friends. Specifically, ROTR launches fine and plays, but only with SWRnet off. When SWRnet is set to on, I see that it is online and it notifies me how many people are online through the launcher interface (lower right)... But then clicking "launch" in the launcher does literally nothing. No crash, no error report, no nothing. Just... no ROTR. Turn SWRnet off again, and game launches just fine, no problem.

Things I have tried or done.
1. Followed install instructions as best I could. This involved hosting a game online with vanilla ZH before I installed ROTR, iirc. I double checked to make sure whatever file that is generated by this process exists, and it did (this was a week ago, sorry to be hazy on details).
2. Installed ROTR and then the patch (today).
3. Verified that ROTR skirmish works fine with SWRnet off
4. Turned off windows firewall.
5. Reboot the computer.
6. Turned off firewall again smile.gif

System specs:
i5 quad 3.5, 16gb ram, SSD, (student) win 10

Any thoughts or help appreciated. I'd send a crash log, but I don't think I have one?

ok first.
Run the launcher with admin compatibility if that doesnt work when u start swrnet.
reinstall swrnet itself.

in the rotr folder run SWR.net_Unistaller.
after that run SWR.net_Installer.exe

then try to run rotr with swrnet on as admin compatibility.

if all that doesnt work fully reinstall rotr.

Thank you Skitt.

I had forgotten to mention that I was running the launcher as admin already, so that did nothing.

But de/reinstalling the SWR.net installer per your instructions totally fixed the problem.

So awesome, thanks again for the superquick advice!
