The rail gun artillery platform can shoot through anything (buildings, hills,...). I don't know if this is supposed to be like that (I hope not) but it realy bothers me whenever I play as the laser general and/or against him. I've noticed this in previous versions of this mod as well but I've never seen it reported.. or at least mentioned anywhere.

Intentional. The idea is that the railgun projectile is accelerated to such an extreme velocity that it goes straight through anything in its path, including buildings and terrain. The description of the unlock in the general's power menu even states that it fires through solid objects.

This is simply the problem with direct fire artillery units in SAGE. Their only choices are either to suck, or look ridiculous. If you make them require line of sight, they will suck as their shots will always be blocked by either terrain or other units and structures, if you make them not require line of sight, they function a lot better at the expense of unrealistically shooting through everything. There is no middle ground.
