So today I played some CS GO on assault, had some fun times even if I think the rifle class is now the must go field because heavy is really and I mean really unreliable.
>What is an LMG, What is cover fire or wallbanging So from the get go I realised that assault now has skylights that both sides can shoot from, which forces players to be carefull on the roof or down below An Image of it Now as someone whos played CS from around its beta days to 1.5 to 1.6 to zero and then source etc, I found something strange. Not bad exactly but Im so unused to it, -Less tottal hostages on CS assault (as opposed to the four of before) -Hostage points are different, (They all used to be in a room in the top floor) Most "odd thing" -You dont tell the hostages to follow you and act like moses leading your flock to the hostage point -You can only carry a hostage, -CARRYING HOSTAGES ITSELF -Carrying hostages doesnt give you a weapon or aim penalty, (practiclly unchaged) -You can get a hostage carrying kit like a defusal kit thats double a difusals price (400 rather then 200) also I dont think the terrorists can damage the hostages while your carrying them Sooo this isnt ment to be a CS go thread but basicly, Im not used to theese changes. But for once, In a very long time theese look like well thought out and fair changes... What are some changes that you feel thats "unnatural" to your oldschool bones, when they ache when you see "change" But logiclly makes sense -------------------- |

AoE3 is one of those games where I never really enjoyed it. AoE2 is just one of the best games ever made (I still play it) and AoE3 was just so... different. I realise that I probably should have given it at least one more try.
As for New vs. Old, I think it's mostly usability and comfort features that are usually way better in newer games. Sadly I often see a trend in gameplay or content getting worse. For instance simplified mechanics in Diablo 3 or Star Wars Battlefront. Or comparatively worse maps in newer Call of Duty and Battlefield games. I think a lot of game series reach a point where the game is in its perfect state and newer installments only improve it in very few areas but get worse overall. |
