Can be used for people recently introduced into ROTR, if they are interested in the ECA.
The ECA, short for European Continetal Alliance, is the country. The other ECA, short for European Continetal Army is its main means of defence, a army made up of the remaining (and/or best) material and personelle its member states have to offer. Generals: Fire Support General Charles is british-english. Royal Guard General Willem is netherlandish-dutch Mechanized Assault General Wolfgang is german (born to a noble family of preussian descent) Unit nationalities: Attack Dog: Germany Combat Medic: Austria/Czech Combat Pioneer: British Commando: British (SAS and LA85A3 and Detpacks), Swedish (Carl-Gustav Recoilless Rifle) Engineer: N/A Felin Rifleman: Belgian/German (FN22 assault rifle, based on the G11K2 with belgian munition), Briths (Starstreak Manpads) French (The guys) Grenadier: German Heavy Sniper: British Jumpjet Trooper: Italy (jetpack and infantry) Bulgaria (as the Lavina MGL is the closest to their grenade launcher design i could think of for them) Panzerfaust: German, perhaps also Sweden (due to the panzerfaust launcher) Frank Jaeger: German (though he could be also partly of other descent) Vehicles (and what they resemble or possibly based one): Anvil Bot: British BAE Black Knight UAGV Claymore: PZH2000 with a bit of M-Sta and Donar/AGM Excavator: Volvo concept "Sfinx" concept Fennek: German-Dutch, Jackhammer could be of american or british design Gepard: German (although perhaps Willem could have the Cheetah, the dutch version which has a different radar) Jagdmammut: VT-2 Tank. The guns resemble the XX-20 tank destroyer. Leopard: Basically a Leopard II with some elements of the Panther from endwar and the original rise of europe Lynx APC: Swedish, BvS Bandvagn and Viking Mobile Sensor Array: Italy, obviously a homage, but vehicles, espically anti.air radars and artillery command vehicles exist that show similarity to it. Mole Minelayer, based on a RA2 concept of the same name: Spanish, has some similarity to the Aardvark Mortar Track: British Pandur: Austrian Pandur 6x6 Supply Track: British Viking Warhound: Scottish Wotan Array: Norwegian Aircraft: Goshawk: British (presumbly also flown by scottish pilots) Harrier: British but flown by Spainish pilotes, based on a Harrier III progamm Marksman FAC: Norwegian, based on the Wildcat, more correctly its anti-ship version Tiger Gunship: German Prototypes: Manticore: Germany, nano orbs were modified from similar models used for to repair ESA equipment Venom: Based on extra vehicular astronaut suits, now remade as powered exo-skeletons ESA/ECA scientist coorperation, so pretty much every ECA member could contribiuted to it, Viking is polish, Valkyrie is gallian Pandora: Originally an ESA space gun, using a rail acceelrator to propel playload into orbital range, accepted as desperate last resort, neutron bombs were modified by european nuclear powers from their old stock A400M: German EC640: French/German Cheetah Chopper: Belgian/Italy |

I am pretty sure it doesn't work like that.
Non general exclusive units are pretty much consisted of all ECA members troops, example, there are Italian,Polish,Norwegian,Portuguese, etc. Felin Riflemen, same goes to Leopard and Tiger crews. But they mostly speak in accents of units' country of origin in game due to practical reasons. |

A few corrections / precisions:
- Combat Pioneers are French (Infantry and SMG) Mortar has no precise origin - Engineers are English - Supply Tracks are piloted by Irishmen - Tigers are French and German, piloted by a Frenchman Also, Eurofighters, which are used for Tear/Nerve Gas and Bomblet Strike has been created by United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain -------------------- My Soundcloud profile: right here |

The MP57 shown there is a cold-war era SMG firing 9x19mm pistol caliber rounds, not the 5.70*28mm, a miniature intermediate caliber round with way too little gunpowder (Unless you just meant the FN 5.7*28mm, which was purpose-designed as a PDW round, not simply a Rifle round cut down). It is not the same weapon despite the name. Many weapons of various nations have similar or even the same name. In fact the MP57 used by the Pioneer is explicitly a PDW, not an SMG thanks to it's rifle-caliber round.[1] [1]: See also: Light Machine Gun vs. Squad Automatic Weapon, Assault Rifle vs. Battle Rifle, Designated Marksman Rifle vs. Sniper Rifle. A more thorough explanation:
European Continental Alliance = Not a country but an organization of several European nations dedicated to free trade, joint science projects and mutual defence. European Continental Army = A large military task force with ground, naval and air capabilities independent of the national militaries member states, which serves as an instrument to the Alliance’s foreign policy where individual action by single countries would be unfeasible or impractical. It consists of full-time volunteers as well as members of otherwise national militaries whose units are rotated in and out of the EC Army to maintain operational experience. Doctrine and equipment are standardised and provided by arms manufacturers across Europe, while some hardware items are also used by national militaries as well. The in-game ECA, as all the other factions, is an idealised abstraction. Generally speaking, soldiers from any ECA member country can represent any type of unit, but for in-game purposes, there is only one nationality (accent) for every unit. As a result, true national origins can only be made on the basis of equipment or in cases where a particular unit is explicitly stated to originate in country X. Excavator: Based on concept design by Swedish manufacturer Volvo. Supply Track: A cargo variant of the Swedish/British Bandvagn 206 (RL developer Hägglunds belongs to BAE nowadays) operated by Irish drivers in game. Attack Dog: Based on German Shepherds. Felin Rifleman: FELIN is a future soldier equipment line of French origin, standardised for ECA infantry soldiers. Their service rifle, the HKFN22, is a 5.7x50mm assault rifle developed by German (Heckler & Koch) and Belgian (Fabrique Nationale) manufacturers and the Starstreak MANPADS is British. Panzerfaust: Weapon based on the German Panzerfaust 3 or futuristic variant/successor thereof. Medic: Depicted as British in game, but their weapons are generally small, mass-produced machine pistols like the Austrian TMP or Czech Vz.61. Engineer: Was recently given a British accent. Pioneer: French accent, armed with an MP57 personal defence weapon. This is not the obscure Cold War era SMG, but a fictional PDW that looks like an enlarged MP7, firing the 5.7mm cartridge of the P90, hence MP57. Their mortar is a nondescript 81mm infantry mortar. Grenadier: Scottish soldier with unidentified fictional grenade launcher. The GL looks visually similar to the machine guns mounted on ECA vehicles which are also a fictional design that was originally inspired by the WW1 era Vickers gun, with what appears to be a futuristic cooling jacket around the barrel. Frank Jaeger: German character with a non-descript, possibly civilian market shotgun and a CheyTac Intervention sniper rifle, an American weapon whose origin isn’t exactly stated. Polish special forces use the rifle in real life, but in the story, it’d also be possible that Jaeger obtained it from the American SEAL team that he operated with in Berlin. Commando: Based on British SAS, Royal Marines and Paratroopers, but on a broader scale, Europe has many national special forces units that could serve in a similar role. Their loadout consists of a British L85A3 assault rifle and a Swedish Carl Gustav recoilless rifle. Heavy Sniper: British soldier in-game, with a British AW50 anti-materiel rifle. Lynx: A combat APC version of the aforementioned Bandvagn. Gepard: German-made air defence tank. Warhound: British AVRE, based on the real life Terrier digger with a fictional turret added. Leopard: German-made Leopard 3 battle tank, likely used by other European militaries as well. Pandur: Austrian-made IFV. Mole: Minelayer of unspecified national origin, but the in-game accent is Spanish and the burrowing bombs are stated to be of Austrian origin. Mortar Track: British vehicle. Claymore Howitzer: British crew nationality in game and likely British origin due to being named after a Scottish sword. I would assume that it is the successor to the AS90 (AS40 = Artillery System for the 2040s, perhaps?) Wotan: Established as being of Norwegian origin, though named after the Germanic analogue to Odin, for reasons unknown. Jagdmammut: German-made tank destroyer Mobile Sensor Array: Operated by Italians in-game but the hardware origin is never stated. Personally, I like to see it as being at least co-developed by the Czechs, since they've been developing advanced sensor pods for quite some time and it'd be a rare contribution of theirs which is currently missing in-game. Tiger: Fictional German update version of the Eurocopter Tiger. In-game accent is French, but the helicopter is likely in use by other ECA countries as well, a flying counterpart to the ubiquitous Leopard tank probably. Harrier: Old and updated Harriers of British origin, operated by Italian and Spanish naval aviators in the story, with a Spanish accent in-game. Marksman: Based on the British Westland Lynx with elements of the newer Agusta-Westland Wildcat (AKA Future Lynx). Said to be used by Denmark, Norway, Portugal and others in the story. Vulcan/Victor Bomber: British Cold War recreated with modern materials and electronics. Provided for ECA operations by RAF Bomber Command. Eurofighter & A400M: Based on the real thing. Manticore & other wonderweapons: Possibly multinational, but definitely designed with involvement of German manufacturer Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (“KMW”) as established in the story. The Venom and Pandora are likely joint projects as well, being militarised versions of European Space Agency equipment. The Anvil bot is built around the British Black Knight UGV, the first military unit to make use of jumpjet infantry was the Italian Folgore and the origin of the Fenris laser was developed by Scandinavians.
