I know its a long way off and you probably won't have an answer, but I was thinking about the in game generals selection and it occurred to me....
Will you be able to see all units at the war factory etc, but it will just say "requires General Orlov upgrade" or will units for other generals be hidden? Personally I think the latter is the better way if possible. -------------------- |

If it goes like I think, you'll actually build a different War Factory depending on your General selected (also counts for Barracks etc) so if you capture anotehr War Factory of the same faction but different General you should get his units. So in short: second variant.

So it will just be greyed out like you don't have the correct tech building?

It will be a commandset upgrade based switch most likely. Basicly it's the same warfatory with no unit command set ( since from what we have already been told you chose your general at the begining of the game before you can build anything ). Then once you chose a general ( basicly get a 0 cost upgrade ) the warfactory and any other production building will change to it's given command set ( think of the chinese structures and how they change commandsets with mine upgrade ). This may not by the exact way, but atm i dont exactly see any other given thw info shared by the team. So basicly imo there wont be any grey out unit or anything like that. It's just a small backstage code trick.

Though this leaves the question open wether a captured structure of the same faction but not the same general will still have their command set or changes to yours.

yeah, I wonder if it's possible to do cross-tech of two generals from same faction.
