Baikanour Siege
2 Player Map [1v1] [AI compatible]

Attached File  Baikanour_Siege.zip ( 226.79K ) Number of downloads: 30

Map Description:
Left a alone for years after it's destruction, Remaining GLA Sleeper Cells once again recaptured and rebuilt the launch platform and are planning to strike at any
oppositions capital, Generals you are cleared to use everything at your disposal destroy anyone who wishes to strike the capital

Map Locations:
Player 1 Start [DEFENDING PLAYER]

While in contrast to this players title, this location is quite hard to defend, the usage of the surrounding bunkers can aid the defending player
but they will not be enough to hold an entire army for long. Beware of the rocket, while it's not ready for launch it's warhead is armed and
will detonate should it's rocket or launch pad gets destroyed
It's key defense locations are:
Northern Bridge-the short route to your base advised to fortify immediately
Eastern Bridge-longer route to your base but a direct route to your flanks, fortify as necessary
North-Eastern Train Bridge- an unlikely route for your opponent due to the risk, his/her fast vehicles may pass through here and harass you early in the battle, fortify it for assurance

Player 2 Start [ATTACKING PLAYER]

While defending is not this players trait, due to having fewer defensive positions than player 1.
Heading for the offensive will still be pain is the flanks as the player are given three routes to take:
The first is at the NW corner, through a narrow winding path but one of the shortest to your opponents base
Next is at the SE corner of the map, though a longer route, it will lead you directly to your opponents flanks
Lastly is by the train bridge, located near your supply pile, the fastest and the most riskiest route as your forces may get run over by the train

Key Location 1

Sitting on the top of the hill are:
Bunkers
War Fortress
Capturing these defensive positions will secure the shorter route

Key Location 2

Located at the recently built airstrip are:
Blockade Fortress
Airfield
Defensive Position 2 (Bunkers and Flak Bunker)
Capturing these defensive positions will secure the longer route

Train Bridge

Fastest and most risky route for any player to take, be fast or the train will take your forces out of the fight

Tips, Tactics and Additional Info:
Make good use of the train
Secure any supply crate your could see, supplies are limited (30K-ish supply piles only)
Check the Bunkers
Garrison cleaners they are important
Artillery will become your best friend mid/late game
SCOUTING IS CRUCIAL

USA- Starlifters will be a great help for this faction as they will not need to cross the annoyingly narrow routes
ECA- Howitzers and Claymores will become their main advantage acquire/prevent them as fast a possible
RUS- while brute force is enough your MIRV's will still be a great help in eliminating the initial positions
GLA - SUPRISE the MODDA' FAKKA nuff said
PLA- SWARM THEM!!!!!!

The AI may or may not build SW's (if placed on Player 1 position)
The train and it's Cabs are invincible
Credits to: CURSE OF GAMING EA I guess? it was their map

EDIT:
Fixed some locations of tech buildings (removed and replaced some) for balance
Fixed some props and building locations
Updated Screenshots and mini-map

Known Glitches:
GLA Command Truck heads to the south western location of the map (GLA AI placed on player 2 position)
China Listening Outpost heads to player 2 location (if CHINA AI is placed on Player 1)

Also no feedback.... shame on me...
