I have a problem with RotR. I just found this mod, and I followed the included instructions for installing it. I've done that, but when I tried to run it, the command console just does a split second flash on my screen and then nothing happens.
I do have "C&C first Decade" and that is where my ZH is from. I have tried other solutions like: - Re installing RotR - Making another ZH folder, renaming it and installing RotR there - Reinstalling ZH - Renaming the .bat to .exe (couldn't do that, i cant seem to change it's extension...) I have done one thing that seemed to help, having UAC off, and installing RotR into a folder on my desktop. That results in the console oppening for a longer amount of time, but an error occurs: "Execution of command 'C:\Users\Lukepwner\Desktop\RotR\generals.exe' failed (error 193: unknown error c1)" I have read other forums and posts. I have also read the install guide posted her, that didn't work for me either. I am running Windows 7 64 bit, I am the admin on the comp (no other accounts, derp). I allays loved C&C generals, and this mod looks awesome. I'd be a shame if there was no solution. |

When you reinstall, install to a directory outside of the programs folder, e.g.
C:\Games\Command and Conquer Might be Windows going nuts with it's UAC, (have you tried turning that off btw). -------------------- |

Okeah, I installed RotR to: E:\Games... Its not on the same disk as ZH, but now I get a new error when i try to run it: Execution of command 'E\Games\RotR\generals.exe' failed (error2: the system cannot find the file specified)
I'm going to put it back on the same disk as ZH... Okeah, I just put it in the C drive... its not in any of the program files, I'm going to make sure that my UAC is off... Okeah, UAC is off, and I'm still getting error2... Allright, My UAC is off, and I re-installed ZH again, I'm still having a problem. I can't figure out a solution... Allright, I figured it out... (using the above help)
I reinstalled ZH onto my other drive, and then installed RotR. That fixed all the problems because now its not in Program files, and RotR has the things it needs to run. This has to be one of the best mods... But wasn't the EU supposed to be in it? or did they not implement it them yet? |
