^His PC obviously meets the minimum spec if he was able to run ShW in it.
and i thank you. i am not frustrated-just curious as to my deficiencies. no other mods are installed-i took out shock wave first and foremost as a precaution. It's fine to have ShW and RotR both installed at the same time. That doesn't cause any problems. |

I kinda doubt you'll have resources left to carry out such a lengthy process... Ofc as far as RotR universe is concerned, the US shouldn't be your only headache. You see, it's very, very likely that as soon as the Ruskies move deeper into Europe and their army gets stretched a bit thin, China will sneak up on Russia through the backdoor. They'll get their revenge, they'll get Russian land and resources, they'll receive huge global influence, and to top it up they'll get some fancy title like "liberators of the new free world". Overall - things will get messy before you even reach the Brits. Believe me, those sneaky li'lle bastards know what they want and how they would get it. i am currently thinking on this, and believe I have a few strategies to exploit: I - a mimesis of Sherman and Napolean-in that my forces are divided into autonomous corps that live off the surrounding territories II - utilization of advanced recon, partisan, and gurellia units of varying capacities to hinder, disrupt, conceal, and mislead in preparing the ground for insertion of traditional corps forces III- knowing my limits as a commander, and of the forces i command-it may not actually be necessary to invade the iberian states in order to ensure they mind their own. Imagine an "iron cage," as it were-rank upon rank of entrenched, heavily defended positions along russias western border. history has shown that russias greatest asset is her ability to provide man power. put the manufacturing behind the urals, and from the urals westward, construct an iron cage. would the high and low countries bleed themselves white just to reach moscow when i have the entirety of russia to withdraw in? perhaps, perhaps not. also, consider russias weather, another nigh omnipotent ally. what are your thoughts? china...i am thinking on china. one may imagine china being...over-stretched as well within SE asia and the pacific...and would china risk a two fronted conflict with Russia and America? where are japan, korea, and australia? further complicating matters: the ideological ties of the pacific with the middle-east and north africa. would Islam unite its pacific faithful and eurasian faithful under one banner? many, many angels here, many Vauban angels. |

That doesn't cause any problems. i believe so. my computer (Dell e1505 running xp home) will run shockwave, normal zero hour, Starwars BFII, etc. it cannot, however, handle red alert 3, but those specs are very, very high to begin with. so yes, the spec are met. unless i am missing something |

so the game crash where you up about to start skirmish. what totally happen? just black out or what? i open the ingame start menu, select skirmish. i select russia, and set to china opponents. i hit launch, music starts, the load screen appears briefly, as in half a second, then the game crashes and i am presented with a message that states a serious error with hardware or software has occured. my comp is on a cooling pad, so it is not over heating. and as previously mentioned, i can run ShW just fine. is there a graphics discrepancy between ROTR and ShW that i am missing? |

Try this: http://forum.mystiquestudios.com/index.php/topic,1806.0.html
Also a few notes: - Go to your My Documents ZH folder and look for "ReleaseCrashInfo.txt" and post the contents here. - You don't have to make complicated directories for ZH. Something simple like: "C:/Games/ZeroHour" is enough. - You said that ZH worked without ROTR, and after you installed ROTR you got the "file not found" error. How did you start the mod, did you use the .bat files? When you installed ROTR did you make sure the installer was pointing to your new directory? -------------------- |

I can now play ROTR...it was the map that I was trying to load that caused the game to crash, and so far, only that map. curious, no? i want to thank all for helping me through this. also, I now wish to know Zeke: am i able to run Generals X having ROTR and ShW already installed? X looks good. |

Well you can't install them all in the same folder that's for sure.
But there are ways: http://forum.mystiquestudios.com/index.php/topic,1807.0.html -------------------- |

But there are ways: http://forum.mystiquestudios.com/index.php/topic,1807.0.html i have reviewed the options available to me, as presented by you. Currently, I have ROTR and ShW installed side-by-side, and as designed they work flawlessly. I ask of you-what do you recommend to keep both of these mods running and have Generals X along for the ride? |

Seeing as my mod has 3 big files (the mod, the patch, and the patch fix) method 1 would be best.
