Hello everyone, we're back again with another update for ROTR development.
In this update we will tackle a very old problem once and for all out of its existence with newly updated GLA structures.


First off is the new GLA Barracks tunnel which is now significantly smaller in footprint matching the size of Barracks structures of other factions.


Second is the new Supply Stash which no longer works like a tunnel network but has some other useful features instead.
Rather than functioning like a tunnel it can provide shelter to 6 workers protecting them from harms way and also healing them while inside.

Next week we will be releasing a new test build that will include both these structures and yet to be revealed Armsdealer and Hideout structures.

Seems like the fire pit from the barracks have not the alpha channel applied to it! Overal nice work biggrin.gif

Hm I noticed that too but maybe it's just the render, since the rendering software sometimes messes up for some reason.

That barracks tunnel I'm wondering how is the marauder or other larger vehicles going to fit through that hole.....

It looks actually, if my estimates are correct, that the tunnel is juuuuust big enough to squeeze a Marauder through.

The tunnel network is also small, and I think the barracks tunnel is actually a little bigger so everything is fine.

Ehm, why would you be so confused on telling which one is the Rax and Stash, it's all about where you would place it really.

Anyway, didn't the tunnel version also used to heal units before? or am I missing something?

Because when you were gonna place the structure, the little ghosts looked almost identical if you weren't paying attention and were roughly the same size.
This lead to many people getting them mixed up and wasting money.
And all units will heal inside a tunnel.

Looks like it's gonna be harder for GLA to react to those supply harassments then.

Building a tunnel beside it new meta?

eh, not really
You can still build a tunnel in your base, and use every other building thats a tunnel

It would be great if the supply stash could be garrisoned by 6 in order to protect the building and not only the workers like the palace in zero hour. I think this more fair since the GLA defense buildings are all so vulnerable to antipersonnel units.

The problem with that is that it would lead to people abusing garrisonable Supply Stashes as defensive structures, or even building one of them close to the enemy early on and garrisoning it with infantry to lock them down. Hence why these slots are purely for the protection of your Workers.
