Hey Guys,

Don't know if anyone else has heard, but later this year Microsoft are launching a free anti-spyware program currently codenamed "Morro". It's going to replace their existing One Care services and be entirely free.

Personally I think it's a great idea. But if everyone uses the same anti-virus. Won't it be catastrophic if someone makes a virus that can get through it?

Not gonna use it because Avast is just some much better and lighter.

I currently use AVG Free 8.5
Not had any problems with it. Admittedly it can drain memory and stuff during scans and updates, but that's to be expected.

DOES NOT COMPUTE

One Care was horrible. Use either AVG, Avast or Avira for free AV. If you wanna pay, Kaspersky is best IMO.

I heard (from various sources) that One Care was annoying, but very secure.
Based on performance over usability

IMO, Kaspersky is the best one out there. However, I currently am using Avast, cause' my collage won't left me use it, and every time I go back I need to delete my anti-viral software; it's much easier to Avast since it's free.

I don't have Avast but from all accounts that I've heard it's a very good anti-virus system.
