I love ECA's medivac ability however it's a little used because of the need to always have a medic along with the troops, so I thought if it would not be possible to make this ability more accessible to call the helicopter on the battlefield.
It would be interesting?
It would be a brilliant idea in my opinion. The whole medivac thing is a great idea in concept, but it is norotiously tedious to use.
Perhaps it would be possible to give them the "recover now" and the "recover at destination" like the toxin tractor or demo commando
Am I only one that thinks that Medic Bunkers should have call in ability too ?
this was literally just brought up in the 1.87 fortifications thread lol
would be insanely easier to use if it was a sidebar ability, but alas its a unit based.
For example I tend to place Heavy Snipers near them,
It would make life lot easier if they'd have this ability.
^This is littarly on my fortifications post
I mentioned that, are we repeating or moving the thread here? wtf guys? xD
I've seen that thread. but haven't actually read through it.
You cannot have side-bar abilities from units/structures with limited range function reliably. This was what prevents the Claymore, Howitzer and Topol from being side-bar abilities (also the fact we have a tiny limit for short-cuts).
Then let the Medic Commando from the Fennek drop also have the ability to call in the Medivac Copter
^I think it would be strange a stealthy unit like the Medic Commando to call a medivac... or not? ...
the commando medic should NOT be allowed to recover infantry.
Unless they had a longer animation than the default medics and they unstealthed, they would be able to wonder around and just endlessly collect dead infantry for free with no chance of repercussions. getting a 100% refund on infantry with that sort of backup is just outright op.
