As the title says, my game recently has no sounds. Even when selecting buttons, it doesn't make a single sound. Even turning the sound volume to max still doesn't work. I even tried launching without quickstart and the menu just shows the shellmap without sounds, SFX and music. On top of that, the game is now laggy as hell, even while on the multiplayer lobby and main menu screen.
I reinstalled ZH many times but still doesn't work. Anyone here experienced this and knows how to solve this ?? This post has been edited by SiR Chaff: 23 Dec 2014, 4:14 |

did you modify your game? Check if there isnt any leftovers after uninstall it.. If you already done this, then you might have a problem with your pc.

Nope, did nothing to my game. I completely deleted the ZH directory after uninstall. And my PC is fine, it has sounds except RotR. |

Did you changed anything recently about your PC ? New Hardware, new drivers, anything ?
Did you try to launch ZH after your clean reinstall ? Check if the base-game works before you go for the mods. And don't forget to apply patch 1.04 before installing the mod (if necessary) --------------------  |

This sometimes happens to me, after I alt-tab, ROTR's sounds would completely disappear. Have you tried simply going to options, and clicking accept?

Check the individual volume controls. Windows Vista and later has individual volume sliders for each program and they get muted when a voice call via Skype comes in. And here my Winamp frequently bugs out that it ends at 20% there as well.

Nah, its not about lost sound when alt-tabbing. Its about the game's sound completely gone.
I've already fixed this problem by restoring my computer to a restore point ( lucky me  )So I call this problem solved. |
