i know that the navy is temporary but if you guys decide to keep it what will happen in the version 2.0 so those every general get a unique navy craft or since its come from tech buildings is it going to be the same

It's been decided that the navy -will- be changed and made faction-specific. As for unique ships for the different generals, I wouldn't call that likely since we shouldn't
put that much effort into something that won't even be available on all maps. Rest assured though that the faction-specific ships will already be sufficiently unique.

Wouldn't be easier instead of making whole bunch of new ships just to
make few unique ones,while basic ones could be shared be factions ?
Example :
China and Russia share lot weapons in RL so they can share some ships,
ECA and USA also,off course it would be better if they would be reskined,but they all should have also their special unique ones
ships cuz again they need some diversity.
I'm just sayin'.

Um... that wouldn't be a good idea dude. First of all, all units and vehicles of all the factions are quite distinct from each other, making them use same ships would look like a sloppy job. It would feel sloppy even if the renders look slightly different in the outside while they're the same inside. Ofc I can't see SWR doing something as tacky as that.

Secondly you and I both know the thing about pulling the realism card so I ain't gonna bother talking about that. But China and Russia use quite different weapons, units and tactics in the mod, so making them use the same ship would look bizarre.

I didn't meant that they use all same ships,
but something like this :

China ,Russia -> Light Ship,Medium Ship -> Same just reskined,while Heavy Ship would be faction special (It don't to have HS really that was example).
USA,ECA -> Light Ship,Medium Ship -> Same just reskined,and for Heavy one,well same as above . . .

Secondly I'm not talking that this would be best idea,
I would off course love to see each faction to use all different ships,
I'm just saying that idea above would save some dev's time,
cuz ships would be just on few maps,and pulling such effort to make ships for 5 factions
which they would use is even to me to much to imagine,
I would not mind it at all,but they are humans just like we are and that would save their time to use it to other goals.

Chances of us doing that is slim, when we get to the navy again we will be implementing faction unique boats using the same archetype's as we currently have. Archetypes as in how the current mechanics work plus more so expect unique abilities, different weapons or applications - you know the works.

As said earlier, the ships will -probably- not BE general-specific, just faction-specific, as in different between USA, ECA, GLA, Russia and China. As for how we're going to be it, well...maybe just the way we added completely different unique ground units, aircraft and buildings to every faction? Why would there be any other mind set for the ships? What Comr4de is basically saying is that in the later version, the ship -roles-, i.e. small boat, medium size destroyer, big, long-range capital ship, will be shared, but the actual units that'll be filling in these blanks will be different between the factions, which is to say that everyone will still have something that fills the purpose of the Gun Boat (speed, recon, harassment of larger ships) but does this by different, unique means.

No aircraft carrier in RotR as far I know.

In fact, aircraft carrier is a natural structure(smiliar with tech bulding).

Hey, if there is a need for ship ideas, I could lend a hand, I know of some warships that are in use and prototypes that are being built. Like I would love to see the Us have the Zumwalt class destroyers for the US medium ship, and the Iowa for the heavy.

The Zumwalt should be in the game since its the most advanced ship in the world, a perfect addition to the US but the Iowa class has been decommisioned for years now and I think the one thats still around is a floating museum. A modernized version of the Ticonderoga class might be added.

Adding ACs would be too much,that idea seems like adding Tesla Walker Boats xD

The unique GLA ships will probably be based on converted civilian vessels as opposed to proper military-grade stuff in most cases.

Tbh I kinda love those walker tesla boats of RA3. They look weird, but looking weird completely goes with the RA3 theme. They have an interesting concept and unique role in gameplay. Plus who doesn't like some evil lightning shooting? From two tesla coils simultaneously I might add.

will the AI also use the navy because sometimes it does not work even though you have naval arsenal by the way i am starting to think of a goshawk carrier for the ECA what do you guys think
