Just informing you all that Comr4de has been abit busy with some things in reallife and there for we have not yet had time to work on it however rest assured this afternoon we will make perperations and maybe the first recordings so that we can hopefully get you something to look at next week

i was just wondering cause one of the RA3 mods did it and a lot of ppl were watching and it had a built in chat thing so you could chat to them in game from moddb

Well, this week is coming to an end in about 2 days. Any chance we will actually see the video this week, or is it going for another week ? I'm not asking for the exact release date, just if it will be this week or the next.

We tried to do recordings earlier this week but rand into some technical differculties doing so we did make a list of the questions we are going to awser and will hopefully finnish taking the footage today.

I just know that the people in charge, like you Hunter, are pretty busy IIRL and have personal things going on, and so I guess it could be difficult to keep to schedule, especially if you're just doing it for the fans and enjoyment. I can honestly say that the delays have been on my end of the field. School (mind that I'm only taking 1 class during the summer semester) and bad sleeping habits and the fact that timezones are different between me and The_Hunter make it sometimes difficult to do something like this happen fast.

We're focusing all we've got on the current factions in the game but I can tell you that we have most of the art completed. It's basically the same way we had it for the Russians. We'd create all the art and get the faction designed the way we wanted to (this includes documentation, strategy discussion and whatnot) and then implement it ingame, testing every faction function slowly (such as the Camaraderie ability for Russian infantry)). What I can tell you is that we have a good majority of the ECA faction complete artwise, and will take a short while to get it coded and implemented. How's that for honesty ?

Yes but anyone can agree that shw productions can easily cause addiction, and we all know how much they like teasing us,poor simple members with evergreen quotes like "wait and see","the release is right behind the corner",or that masterpiece of deception that was the december realease statemenet:

"Each day until the day of Christmas we'll be releasing new content and renders until you get your gift from us - the download link. "

They released the download link the last minute of the day after christmas. With massey that was having a no-stop wake to get the link because he (as me) misunderstood the above statement.

anyway they deserve this, it's one of their favourite hobby.

Patience is not an option here.

Hey, if the question wasn't continually asked, including by people who ought to know better, you wouldn't be continually 'teased'. It's no more a tease than any other honest answer, and you know full well why it is given. Patience is always an option and the sooner you learn to be patient the faster the release will come (in your mind anyway) because you'll have noticed less time waiting for it. I find taking this attitude does wonders for my blood pressure, which is just as well given the local bus services.

Wait, Wait JB. You've totally misundersttod my post: i was meaning no offence. You know,maybe i'm not an english speaker so i can't give my post the sense i'd like to give them, it was totally humoruos.
I never actually asked a release date in my poster life here.
I appreciate your work very much and maybe i fail to understand totally the verb "tease", the translation given in my language is totally playful.
Maybe i should add "poor little baby members" to make it more funny or a lot of funny emoticons.
I thought it was clear that my post was hilarous when i write the fact that massey was waiting tha release the day of Xmas, loosing sleep time when instead you released the link only 24h later. It was my first funny moment in FS community since i joined only 2 weeks before.



About the patience, I have it enough, and i've never tried to push you.

I said patience is not an option to recall myself to the previous post about death is not an option.
Since your work is a so addicting (in a funny way),i said that.

I didn't mean my response to be in any way pointed toward you as a sort of admonishment; I know you weren't being serious, and equally my tone was meant to be anything but harsh. As always my dislike of smilies has led to a misunderstanding, so it's me, not you, who was to blame for that. It's just that a lot of the time on other sites I see people mistaking jokes for serious comments and feel the need to reply to prevent them from drawing wrong conclusions. That said this is less of an issue here because most members already know the state of things, so I'll be less zealous in the future.

I disagree, people would whine and moan even without this thread, at least the team has said it would be delayed, and went against policy by mentioning a vague release date. But still people demand it, people need to be patient and just wait. If the only thing they do is have to wait for a video then yeah well get a life. While the mod is awesome it won't kill anyone to wait for the team to release their video. Spamming inane silliness won't get anything other than a higher post count.

I was actually wondering if we could add a little piece in the intro cut scene dedicated to him; something simple like 'in memory of JB, *a snippet of respectful words*, may he rest in piece' accompanied by a picture of a flower or something. Eh.. perhaps it's too much and too touchy a subject; his loved ones may not want the news of his passing to receive too much attention on the internet.

I was thinking of putting a storm trooper easter egg unit in game like the MEC team did with mike jackson and the a team seeing JB was a huge starwars fan but resorting to what you said i think it would be better to do as you said because maybe the family will not want his death plastered all over the net and as you said JB was a simply guy.

I could more or less imagine what he is doing in heaven know baffling people with his knowledge in military tactics and technology damn i miss him

Agreed; I was simply thinking aloud. Now I wish that the game actually played the credits more, since it in SW it takes quite some time to finish challenges and the fact that the campaigns weren't there in 0.95 and in RotR, the credits don't pop-up at all. Though I guess this will be fixed as the mods get closer to completion.


That's an Invitation for Copyright Lawsuit. However I can say JB has great taste. (I'm a fairly huge Star Wars fan as wel). Ja, you're right though, in this instance, less is more.

Heh, he's probably already attained some rank in the grand Angelic army. Alas, I also miss his military banter, as well as his upbeat posts and proactive support for the mods.

I guess end of the week in team time is end of the month/whenever it gets released.

I am really looking forward to it and don't mind waiting for it same goes with the releases of RotR and other mods as well
