This is a strike aircraft for the German side in my mod. The pilot sits above and the co-pilot/gunner sits below, in the front.

This is a base defence for my German Faction.


The walls and bib are actually the foundation and it'll work similar to component towers in Tiberian Sun. So you only build the base and then you can build various defenses on it. The twin MG42s are part of an anti-infantry and low-tech anti-air defence. It's still not yet finished. There will also be anti-vehicle and higher-level anti-air systems available.
The defences are all semi-automated. They are controlled by an encased brain which works through an interpretative computer to control the system. In the case of heavier and more complex systems, more than one brain is necessary.

EDIT: Just noticed the UVW error on the concrete wall. Fixed it.

Got another 2 models I'm working on here.

First one is a command centre for my German Faction. It's called the citadel and first thing you might notice is that it has two doors. A small one at the front where infantry units such as the constructor are built. Next to it on the right is a larger roller door where the larger vehicles are built. One of these vehicles will be their supply collector, which is huge.


Next is the Anti-Air Gun. It's an 88mm Flak cannon. Based on the original and famous Flak-88. It is modernised, however, with a newly designed barrel and muzzle brake as well as a semi-automatic feeding mechanism that can hold 5 rounds, plus one in the breech. Also features an automatic extractor which doubles-up as a shell rammer. In game, this will act as an airplane sniper. It'll have a short pre-firing delay while it calculates the ballistic trajectory and then it fires a high-velocity, air-burst, high-explosive, fragmentation shell that does serious damage to any aircraft. However, it will have a long delay in between each shot due to the weight of the rounds and the complexity of the feeding mechanism. It will also need to time to reload the ready magazine after firing five rounds. Therefore, it will still require backup smaller-caliber AA guns to support it. On its own though, any pilot would serve well staying out of this gun's way.

Liking that flak cannon altho the way that ammo container is hold onto the cannon looks rather fragile.

i would also recommend adding the blast shields the original 88's tended to have:

I was following the Flak 88 Pak43 styling actually. The blueprint I had didn't include any blast shield in front. Although, now that you mention it....

Ok, here is an updated version.
Several changes:
- Magazine shifted to left side of breech to allow ejector to hinge to the right in order to allow expended cartridges to fall back.
- Magazine now has an in-built ramp that collects and holds the next round.
- Added additional supports for the magazine.
- Added blast shield.
- Increased the height of the turret support to allow the gun to actually elevate. (Previous maximum elevation was 18 degrees, which is quite useless for an AA gun. Now increased to 45 degrees.)
- Increased breech distance from the turret support to prevent it clipping into the center support when elevating.

Additional Notes:
- I realise that the ready round is currently defying gravity in the 2nd render. I'm sorting that out now.

Overall, it looks beefier now but I think maybe the magazine still appears too flimsy but then again I'm not sure how to make it seem more "attached".

The Maus is skinned. Tracks still not done yet tho. Some rescaling may also be necessary. BTW the AA gun on the roof has been replaced with the twin MG42 turret that I posted before. And since that is about the size of one infantry, then the scale should be just right.



Any comments on the skin?

Hi there,

Another update.
Here's the basic infantry for the German side. They are also reanimated bodies like the builder in the previous posts so they are not technically living. They are armed with a modernised version of the K-98 Rifle. This model is semi-automatic and features a large heat-shield over the barrel to allow for sustained firing without overheating. It comes equipped with a laser aiming device mounted on the heat shield.

Second attempt at modeling aircraft ever. Here's a helicopter, or Jetcopter rather.
It's based on several designs (cookie to whoever can guess which ones and no they aren't all real).
Polycount: 3452, unoptimised.



At the moment, I've really just made this for fun. Just played End of Nations beta and one of the units in that game got me wanting to make a helicopter model. I may or may not use this in my mod, I've not decided yet so if anyone wants it for their mod, I may make it available.
Not skinned yet, though.

Very cool to create a 'Command & Conquer' with the Third Reich, there are many possibilities in a parallel universe dominated by the Nazis.

I like the infantry, is futuristic while keeping the traditional look. Could have an agent SS style 'commando', would not be a good idea?

You could make the models a bit more like what EA did the Generals, especially as the texture and the tank's tracks.

The logo of the game was great, I liked the style. smile.gif

Since I'm actually planning a total conversion, the art style of all the factions will change so keeping the EA style is not what I'm going for. I'm going for a higher detail level, as you can see from the units I've already made.
As for special units like the commando you mentioned, I'm looking at a few different types. There are plans for at least three sub-sides to the German faction and each will have a different playstyle in mind so their units will vary greatly.

Looks very "Nazi" - only thing is it looks too much like it's made of stone. More like a building texture than a vehicle or unit texture.

It looks nicer ingame. It might be lighting making it look too dark. I tried the traditional metal colour and it look far too bland so this way at least it looks sooty and dirty, the whitish patches are actually the bare metal.

Here's another couple of things I've been working on.

Model excellent, liked the style of the aircraft. smile.gif

Perhaps the wings need to be extended a bit more it seems that the wings are short in relation to the body of the plane.
